Rage Before Beauty - Pretty Things (The)

Advantages: A good road rage alternative, Good b-sides
Disadvantages: Not quite as good as others, A bit endorsing (Mulder and Scully)?

...Road Rage is the best Catatonia song. Period. There is nothing wrong with it, nor bad about it. Other Cat songs are good, too; but none will beat Road Rage. Mulder and Scully is still a grat track, though. Nice beat and the guitar playing is good as well. The cd contains this track in hand, as well as a remix (the ex files) and a couple of others. No Stone Unturned is just like Road Rage's I'm Cured, at first you think its going to be terrible. But then, things perk up and realise it quite good. The third track before the remix is called Mantra for the Dead. This is also a good song, just like Cat b-sides are. If you like Road Rage and want something to beat it, you'll never find it. ...arguments :o) As in usual Rage style, the cover art is great. However, I have one gripe on things they have left out: credit to the original artists…. I don’t know why they have left these details out… maybe out of some special arrangement with the people who made the tracks in the first place, but it is really the only niggling part of the album for me. I have done a search for the songs I haven’t heard before on Kazaa to find out the originals, but there are still a few blanks. ...album can end up merely a collection of good songs from before the band made it, but here we have an album that flows so well that you'll just want to play it over and over again. Musically Rage are on blistering form, and Rage on form you just can not beat. They were one mean band and you certainly hear that on this record. The Music Bombtrack - the only way one can describe the Bombtrack is by repeatedly saying the word "fat." For fat it is, it's a perfect album opener and a great song. [5/5] Killing In The Name Of - quite possibly one of the best songs of modern music. It has everything musically and lyrically. It's a very popular club track and is great to dance to.
