RaiseYourFist and Yell was hardly a commercial success but it is one of my favourite AliceCooper albums, I think it's very under-rated. It is without doubt one of his hardest sounding albums, he's extra villianous in this album, the lyrics border on the macabre and the guitar solos are lethal too.
We see the return of some of his favourite characters - Gail for instance and his gory stageshow, this time back with more gore than ever, huge amounts of onstage blood, the gallows are brought back and there are more onstage deaths than usual including someone being impaled in a bicycle, the tour which backed this album up caused controversy in Europe with the Germans (party poopers) forcing him to remove certain acts of his show and David Blunkett asking for his tour to be banned (he's one to talk, it's not as if he actually saw it ...
