This is a great razor sharp piece of metal shock rock from the master who taught Marilyn Manson all he knows. Raise Your Fist And Yell was released in the mid eighties metal revival period to worldwide critical acclaim. It made Alice Cooper a force to be reckoned with once again.
If you have Trash and/or Brutal Planet in your collection then I suggest you add this masterpiece as well. Unlike many metal releases around this period Raise Your Fist And Yell has a timeless quality.
Highlights include :-
Prince Of Darkness, was written for the John Carpenter film of the same name in which Alice starred. A great dark song with a heavy riff.
Roses On White Lace :- Some of Alices greatest lyrics coupled with a brilliant vocal line.
Chop Chop Chop, a creepy mastepiece.
Gail, simply blood curdling.
Lock Me Up, a much copied song format which Megadeth and many others have tried to rip off over the years.
