Rambling Rose - Dean Martin

Advantages: 30 classic hits on one budget priced album nicely made
Disadvantages: Not remastered but not that bad really it as sounds fine

...Dino Paul Crocetti, or Dean Martin as we all know him, member of the original Rat Pack, was one of the greatest performers of his time. I purchased this CD in Virgin some time ago now, so I don't know what the going rate online for this album currently is. There are many places you can look for cheap CDs but it isn't my job to list websites, but to review this compilation CD. First of all, I'm not sure how many young people Dean would appeal to. I think the younger generation ought to be introduced to him and this album is the perfect introduction. It has all his number one hits, some obscure songs and my personal favourite, Volare. Sadly, this compilation is not remastered in any way, but in some ways it adds to the closeness you feel while listening to the album. You feel he is in the same room with you. I think this album... Advantages: It does not have frank sinatra
Disadvantages: It is not about christ mas

...I like sammy daves jr he is black. He is a jew and he is good. He sings his best songs like candy man and black magic and people tree. He is the rat pack with dean martin who is very good and frank sinatra who I do not like because he was a film with heroin called golden arm I do not like herin. I like dean martin when he says thats amoray but I like sammy daves jr more when he sings candy man. I like singing but I am not good at singing so I just move my mouth like candy man candy man who can make the sun shine candy man "I said" but did not say. I do not like the song moving up so I do not sing that with sammy daves jr and I try to not listen when it is on but I can not close my ears like my eyes. Advantages: Toe Tapping, Catchy Tunes
Disadvantages: Slightly Old fashioned if you like pop music

...This is a truly amazing album. It's as if all these old songs were written for Robbie's voice. He's right up there with Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, and holding his own. Well done Robbie. We could do with more albums like this to keep us sixties children happy.!!! Its only downfall is that the younger generation thta buy his other albums may not appreciate it quite so much. However, there is definately room out there for this kind of talent. It made me sing along with most of them, and certainly helps me to get through the housework. Mr Bojangles is a truly wonderful song. You should listen very carefully to the words, and if it doesn't have you in tears, you must have a heart of stone.... Read review
