Rattle and Hum is U2s best album by miles, and the only album which is a) partly live and b) a double album that I have ever played regularly. The songs are outstanding, the live music superbly integrated with the studio work - all those dinosaur bands, take note, it CAN be done ! Most of all, this is an album which combines a musical odyssey, homage to heros and wonderfull originality into a seamless whole. The video is equally good, but the album doesn't need pictures. I loved it. It is a classic and there is simply no competition.
