"It's cool that you downloaded it, I don't mind, but just make sure you play it loud!" I've never heard a rapper say something like that until I saw technique in concert and since then I've been a die-hard fan.
This is my favourite album by Immortal Technique and he has polished the raw sound in volume one without really jeopodising the integrity in terms of sound and lyrics. Technique's lyrics remain unapologetically political, espousing the greatness of the past of the Americas and Africa, and the greater future that will come with consciousness and revolution.
Anthems such as Harlem Streets and Leaving the Past are a welcome break from commerical hiphop such as T.I. and Chamillionaire which have come to epitomise this generation. I also like how he demonstrates that he's still capable of telling a good story with You Never Know ...
Advantages: A few bangers Disadvantages: A few tracks are a little weaker than the rest
take the title of the collection into consideration as he constructed a tune which appears to et right down to the true, East Coast, head-bopping, underground stuff which made it such an exciting time in music.

The album 'A Little Darker' is a HipHop and R&B album made in the Uk, it features artists such as Akala and Ms. Dynamite and many other artists I had never heard of until I got the album, it's also produced by Illastate Records. The album was recorded between November 2005 and April 2006 and was released in September 2006. The Album consists of 24 tracks and features several different UKartists.
I didn't actually buy the CD instead I downloaded it of emusic which has a lot of unknown music. If your into UKHipHop and R&B you will definitely enjoy listening to this album.
