I was quite prepared for this album, when I bought it, to be awful, knowing what Madonna has, in her time, released. But the singles seemed to be good so I took a risk - and was very pleasantly surprised. This is one of the finest albums I own. Probably nominally a dance album, there is much depth, much clarity, much vision here, and it is in fact very difficult to categorise. Most of the songs are incredibly peaceful, apart from the one up-tempo track, the title track, which still nevertheless retains some of the aura of the rest of the album. All the well-known singles from this period of her work are here; but I think most of the tracks here could have done well as singles, the album is that consistently good. This is, pretty much, incomparable to most other music; but if you want something to relax to, then this must be your number one choice.
