I’ve never understood my so many people hate bush and even less why so many people have never heard of them – well at least not until The science of things. Razorblade Suitcase may not be as good as 16 stone but it’s not far of. When you get bored (doesn’t happen often I know) of 16 stone listen to this one. Greedy fly has got to be one of their best songs, swallowed is also up there. I have heard that there is another new album on the way in the not too distant future, I hope for all our sakes that it is better then The Science of Things, I understand that bands want to move forward and all that but sometimes I really don’t see the point.
Advantages: It's good Disadvantages: but it could be so much better
...to be learnt from bush's Razorblade Suitcase album is that you should never let Steve Albini produce anything if you want to get it right. The man may be king of badly recorded hardcore but that does not really qualify him to produce a band like bush. I would not say that this album was a bad job as it has got some fairly huge tunes on it but in no way is it anywhere near the standard of the previous album, 16 stone. Probably the best Bush album currently available. Quite different to "The Science of Things", this album is slightly more upbeat. The track that everybody will recognise no doubt is "Swallowed" their first big hit. This is a quality track but is matched by others on the album, less well know, including "Personal Holloway", "Communicator" and "Mouth". This should be the starting point of anyone who like some Bush songs but has not yet bough an album. ...

This album really disaointed me from Bush. I don't know what they or their record company were thinking at the time but to be truthfull it's crap.
Razorbladesuitcase and Sixteen Stone both are top albums but The science of things really was a mystake and drags bush down, down, down.
Also, if anyone reading this thinks that Bush are trying to rip off Nirvana, think again. They rip off pearl Jam if anybody and that's ok. Bush are one of the only British Rock bands that have really made it in my eyes. ...

Just out of intrest, and of course the fact that i get thirty pence for writing this, has anyone actualy heard of this album (Deconstructed - Bush) Leave a message in this catigory if you have and tell me if it is any good, thank you.
As for reviewing, the science of things is very, very, very poor but Razorbladesuitcase and Sixteen stone really rock the world.
Also, bush's newer style of music really isn't as good as it used to be, so... gavin Rossdale, if your reading this, no offence but go back to the older good style... ...

Shellac, if you didn't know, are the musical project of three producers named Todd Trainer (drums), Bob Weston (bass + vocals) and Steve Albini (guitar + vocals). All three of them are hugely touted amongst the underground and have put their names to consistently excellently sounding records, but if you're not familiar with these obscure records you're not likely to have heard of them. Steve Albini on the other hand, has lent his hand to records like "In Utero" by Nirvana, Bush's "RazorbladeSuitcase" and many other famous names. If you're familiar with Albini's production style (raw, dirty, distinctly Pro-Tools free), then Shellac's sound won't surprise you one bit. It's abrasive, it's angular, it's complex, and it's angry as all hell.
