Advantages: Tried and tusted formula, improved lyrics Disadvantages: Not the classic I was hoping for

Johnny Borrell as well being the vocalist is the heartbeat of the band. He courts controversy at every opportunity. He is either incredibly self confident or the master of self promotion. Many of his comments in the past have offended and divided the music world. These ... ...very talented frontman. And although Razorlight polarize opinion (they were even accused of being described as what was wrong with music today) and have been accused of being too simple, easy going and lacking in ambition, 'Up All Night' the bands debut album is widely consided even by the detractors to be one of the pre-eminent albums of 2004. This album was re-issued in 2005 with the inclusion of the hit single 'Somewhere Else' which reached number ...

Advantages: A very solid, mature sounding second album Disadvantages: Isn't what many fans will have been expecting
...A couple of years ago Razorlight appeared and instantly became one of the nations favourite bands. While they were a love them or hate them band they did seem to hit the big time almost overnight. Lead singer Johnny Borrell had formed the band after leaving The Libertines, before they hit it big, and seemed determined to leave his own mark on the industry. The real test for Borrell and the Razorlight boys was whether they could do it all again, and ... ...a different side to the Razorlight of 2004. Over their 2 year ride at the top they have certainly matured and that is hugely in evidence throughout this album. The music seems to have a lot more feeling to it this time round and the album as a whole appears to have a more complete sound. The self titled album seems to suggest a new direction for the band and an attempt to capture the imagination of those fans that are a little unsure as to whether ...

Advantages: Its 100% razorlight! Disadvantages: People buying it to hear other songs like 'In the Morning' and 'America' may be disapointed!
If you love Razorlight and own the first album, then I strongly reccomend that you get the second album. It very much follows on from their first album, Up All Night, with the similar sounds and songs that Razorlight fans love.
However, if you did not buy Razorlights first album and are contemplating buying the album because you have heard songs such as 'In the Morning' and 'America' (two of the better songs from the album) you may be slightly disapointed ... ...out, with superb guitars. Classic Razorlight 9/10
5 Before I Fall to Pieces This number is again upbeat and is jam packed of guitar riffs. Very easy listening again. It is the next song to be released from the album, but I can't see it doing too well. 6/10
6 I Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got Like most Razorlight songs, it starts with a snazzy little guitar rift, but it soon dies and turns into quite a mellow song. Again, no real power behind it ...

Advantages: Several very good tracks Disadvantages: Fairly similar to last album, some weaker songs
...buy this though if you weren't keen on the previous album as this is more of the same type of guitar-based rock music. Nonetheless, if you were a fan of Razorlight before then I would go for this as it isn't a change in style and you won't be disappointed. ...

Advantages: geat songs that you'll be singing along to all day Disadvantages: yet to find any!!!
...can be said about the razorlight album that hasn't been published or already said on music programmes
With the Swedish/UK split in the ban this completely outshoines the first album which was brilliant.
With In the morning and America already been top chart hits that have you singing along for days after you hear them and many more tracks to follow which will have you doing the same.
They are also one of few bands who can transform the success ... ...it being infront of an intimate gig in reading infront of a few huindred people to do arenas/ stadium they'll have the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end and tyou crying for more long after the final enchore
If you haven't got the album make sure you buy it for Xmas, if you've got the album, get tickets to see them live!! ...

Advantages: Best track - Who needs love Disadvantages: Worst track - Pop song 2006
...Razorlight are considered pop and indie. Personally I think they are indie and my favourite indie band so far. I think this possibly has the best songs Razorlight have ever done on one album, like a greatest hits album possibly? I wasn't really a huge fan of Razorlight at first. I liked 'Golden touch' and 'Somewhere else' and that was about it. I saw this album in Tesco for £9.97. I had heard it was good from some friends and I had heard their 1st single off the album 'In The Morning' so I bought it and obviously listened to it. I wasn't that keen on it at first but I got into listening to it and now I love it.
The lead singer still sings as he did before but what do you expect for an Indie singer. The album seems quite anti-america on some of the tracks but so are a lot of bands nowadays. I like this album because I got listening...

Advantages: Some strong tracks present, excellent drumming throughout Disadvantages: Half the album is tediously tiresome
...Razorlight were formed as a band in 2002 by the singer-songwriter Johnny Borrell - a man who was reportedly a stand-in bassist for The Libertines for a short space of time during their early days before getting signed. Notoriously arrogant, Johnny Borrell is a man who is hated by many as in fact is this second album from the band. When released in July 2006, this self-titled second album was greeted with a mixed reception from the critics; even being nominated in the Worst Album category at the 2007 NME Awards as voted by the readers. Although their magazine writer clearly enjoyed it having rated the album an 8 out of 10, apparently this enthusiasm was not shared by the readers and to be honest that is entirely understandable.
Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the first album from the band, particularly the single 'Golden Touch' - I can...

Advantages: 9 great tracks out of 10 Disadvantages: Pop Song 2006 is quite difficult to get into
...These are the songs on the album-
1. In the morning
2. Who needs love
3. Hold on
4. America
5. Before I fall to pieces
6. I can't stop this feeling i've got
7. Pop songs 2006
8. Kirby's house
9. Back to the start
10. Los Angeles waltz
After buying this straight after listening to In the Morning, and not knowing what their other songs sounded like on the album i was glad i got it. Straight after buying it i liked two songs in particular which were America and Kirby's House. I then started getting into the rest and since then Razorlight are my favourite Rock/Indie band. This album would be perfect if the Pop song 2006 was either taken off or changed to another song because it is quite hard to get into and doesn't seem to make me want to listen to it. this is quite dissapoiting because the album would be amazing otherwise...
