Ok, I'm on a cd reviewing role, just done a review of Load, so now on to Reload... Once again it's a song by song break down, nice 'n simple.
Fuel. Real heavy, and a good start to the cd. Gets boring, but the chorus is DEAD nice. A good song overall, but I wish he wouldn't say "OHHHH YEAH YEAH", thats sounds rubbish! 8/10
The Memory Remains. Really damn good. Stupidly enjoyable tune, I love the lyrics and the heavy yet melodic tune. A corker of a song, and I havn't said "cool" yet... 10/10
Devil's Dance. hmmmmmm, a typical Metallica tune, good but not really that amazing. A bit dull too. 7/10
The Unforgiven ][. Right, you may remember on the black album there was unforgiven, well this is a heavier version, and it sounds better in my opinion. It's deeper amd louder. Great lyrics and tune. 10/10
Better Then You. No, this sucks quite a bit. Not a good song, but it gets better when it goes fast. Not up to their normal standards. 4/10
Slither. Good song, the normal stuff. I enjoyed it, but nothing to make it stick out really. Hard to say more then that really. It does REALLY improve 2 minutes or so into it though, so thats why I'm gonan give it a decent grade. 8/10
Carpe Diem Baby. Crap title! It's a good song though, a bit softer with some really nice bits, great singing, and tune. A first class tune. Better then half the stuff on the cd. 9/10
Bad Seed. Heavy song again, cool guitar riffs, and a damn good rythem. Really enjoyable, it it kicks ass to boot. 8/10
WHere the Wild Things Are. A slower one, not really all that awesome, but the enjoyable never the less, it does have some very cool bits in it though. 7/10
Prince Charming. Another Heavy tune, with a little guitar solo thingy at the start. Sounds like it came out of the late 80's, but I like it. You may disagree, but I think it sounds guns n rose (ie). 8/10
Low Mans Lyric. Is there no end to Hetfeilds singing talent. nope. A really nice easy tune. Relaxing as hell, well sung, and well played. Nice tune. Some bits of it are utterly great, and hetfields singing is gob smacking, HE CAN DO HEAVY AND SOFT!!!!!!!!
Attitude. No, this is utterly pants, corny. NO NO NO NO. 2/10
Fixxer. A nice song too finish on. Sounds nice etc. Can't be bothered saying more then that. 8/10
Ok, not as good as Load, most defiently, but still a rather good cd. I didn't notice it's short comings until I listened to Load! Buy it, but only after the really great Metallica cds! Overall cd rating... 8/10
