Advantages: Tuneful, classic pop-rock,best of the 90s.Lyrically,musically and vocally chairming and catchy Disadvantages: If you dont like pop/rock then you might not enjoy this blast from the past.
Right so today I am really on one with bands/albums ranging from the mid 80s to the late 90s and seeing as I am, what sort of reviewer would I be if I didn't at least give a quick mention to Texas?
Southside by Texas is one of their most acclaimed albums. Released in 1995 with timeless classics like 'I dont want a lover', the album still rings true with audiences today.
Although they have taken their name from an american state, they are essentially a Scottish pop/rock band. Their music does seem to adopt some of the texan stealy guitar sound and although singer and rhythm guiatris Sharleen Spiter has a lovely Scottish accent, she sings with an american accent (which is a shame but common of the era).
This album has some really great pop songs, I dont Want a Lover being one of many. The overal quality of the vocals is really ...

As Johnny bravo has just come back on cartoon network on sky digital I thought I would write something about him. Well here are some main characters and a brief description about them.
Characters
Johnny Bravo-
He's a Crazy Mama's Boy with a muscular build and gelled-to-perfection hair Johnny is impressed with himself and thinks everyone else is too. Unfortunately his lack of common sense and ego problem usually makes every chick he sees go running. But with the high regard of his neighbour Little Suzy, the inventions of his "best-friend" Carl, advice of Pops, and protection of his Mama he always gets through life's problems... wait no he doesn't.
Carl-
Carl is Johnny's "best friend" although Johnny denies it and gladly would give up his life in order to protect him (usually after Johnny does something to turn everyone ...

Stars: Rowan Atkinson, Ben Miller, John Malkovich and Natalie Imbruglia
This cracking comedy was released in the summer of 2003, the main character, Johnny English, basing himself self on a character originally created for a well known credit card company adverts.
Johnny English, (played by Rowan Atkinson both on the adverts and this movie) is a British secret service member, spoofing the likes of James Bond. Unfortunately, he is as competent as Inspector Jacques Clouseau (from the Pink Panther films) which does lead him into some tricky situations.
His partner, Bough, pronounced 'Boff', (played by Ben Miller) is the silent hero of the movie, always allowing Johnny to take full credit ...

Album Notes
Personnel: Southside Johnny (vocals, harmonica); Billy Rush, Joel Gramolini (guitar, background vocals); Joey Stann (tenor & baritone saxophones), Ed Manion (tenor saxophone); Mike Spengler, Rick Gazda (trumpet); Richard "La Bamba" Rosenberg (trombone, background vocals); Kevin Kavanaugh (keyboards, background vocals); Gene Boccia (bass), Steve "Bam Bam" Becker (drums, vocals), Lisa Lowell, Patty Scialfa, Soozie Kirschner (background vocals). Recorded on the 1980 tour. 2 LPs on 1 CD with 1 track deleted. Although Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes were a bar band to the bone, they didn't issue a domestically available live album until 1981's LIVE: REACH UP AND TOUCH THE SKY (the often bootlegged LIVE AT THE BOTTOM LINE was a promo release from '76). Bands often issue live albums to buy time between studio releases, but while REACH UP AND TOUCH THE SKY was intended as one of these, (between 1980's LOVE IS A SACRIFICE and 1983's TRASH IT UP), it remains one of the band's best releases. Perfectly capturing the energy and excitement of an Asbury Jukes show, this is a consistently fine listen from beginning to end. Individual standouts include "Hearts of Stone," "The Fever," "Why Is Love Such a Sacrifice," and a killer Sam Cooke medley.
