Advantages: A host of different shades of eyeshadows, Lip colours & Blushers. Great Quality Disadvantages: A bit too big to take out in an evening bag.
Yet another one of my Virgin Vie 'good buys'! This is the Virgin Vie readyto wear collection of eyeshadows, lip colours and blushers.
~ Price ~
RRP is £20 but in the Virgin Vie catalogue at the moment it's available for £12.50 which is a great bargain considering what you get!
~ Packaging ~
This comes in an outer, very dark blue cardboard box.
Inside the box is a blue plastic box (like a mini make-up box), measuring approx 14cm x 10cm, hence what I mean by it not being great for a small evening bag.
This has the Virgin Vie logo on the front and 'readyto wear collection'.
The lid opens up to show the first 'drawer' full of eyeshadows along with a mirror.
Once you have opened the lid, you can pull out the second 'drawer' which slides out to show all of the blushers and lip colours available.

Advantages: Nice smell, areas where hair WAS removed felt silky soft, wipes do remove excess wax Disadvantages: Too many areas where hair WASN'T removed, price, speed, pain
Hi...
Thought I'd share my (very recent) experience of Veet ReadyTo Use Wax Strips.
Just to make clear now, the strips I used were part of the pink Complete Body Kit, consisting of 20 leg strips, 12 bikini/underarm strips, and 4 Perfect Finish wipes, and claiming to be effective on hair as short as 2mm.
I'm 17 years old, normal, and to be honest, quite an optimist, so this is the first almost negative review I've given anything. The 'satisfactory' was moved up from a 'poor' because I felt mean!
Usually, I'd use Veet cream (works like magic, if you're wondering) , but as I was in Boots to stock up these caught my eye. They were on a discount, and I'd wanted to try waxing, so I thought I'd give it a go. They cost me around £4-5, which, believe it or not, was half price.
The strips themselves smelt nice, and the instructions were ...
Advantages: It works properly Disadvantages: A bit pricey
Mess free and Fuss free, expensive to use all the time, but ideal for those summer moths and holidays. Besides all this they are a cheaper andfar less painful option to the salon experience. I use them every summer and holiday and won't use anything else.
It's a fairly good price not too painful and quick and easy to use, you can't ask for more. You are even left with silky soft skin and hair free (providing you useit properly). I even managed to convince my sister to use it, and she's a complete wimp when it comes to these kinds of things, now she uses it all the time too, probably more than me as she's always going on holidays.
All in all a great buy that you can't live without. ...

Album Notes
Personnel: Bryan Sutton (guitar, mandolin); Pat Enright, Jeff White, BEcky Isaacs Bowman, Dolly Parton (vocals); Jerry Sutton (guitar); Rob Ickes, Jerry Douglas (dobro); Ron Block, Mike Snider (banjo); Ricky Skaggs, David Harvey (mandolin); Aubrey Haynie (fiddle); Dennis Crouch (bass); Sonya Isaacs Surrett (background vocals). Engineers: Mark Howard, David Ferguson, Gary Paczosa. Recorded at 1103 Studios, Nashville, Tennessee and O'Henry Sound Studios, Los Angeles, California. Guitarist Bryan Sutton, known to fans of contemporary bluegrass for his work with Ricky Scaggs and Jerry Douglas, steps out on his own for a mostly instrumental exploration of country, bluegrass, folk and jazz styles. The swing side of things is covered by the jazz standards "Minor Swing" and "Lady Be Good"--the inspiration of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli is unmistakable here. Dolly Parton does some of her very best singing ever on the sparse, soulful ballad "Smoky Mountain Memories." "Highland Rim" is a rollicking Celtic-flavored bluegrass instrumental, and his version of the U2 song "When Love Comes To Town" (sung with a bluesy fervor by Jeff White) makes it sound like an old-time country classic. Jerry Douglas (who also recorded with jazz guitarist Bill Frisell on his sublime NASHVILLE) plays eerily tuneful yet forceful dobro throughout. Sutton's performance has a near-perfect balance of technique and warmth that's quietly dazzling.
Album Reviews
No Depression (5-6/00, p.114) - "...An impressive performance from one of the heirs apparent to the Nashville guitar throne....covering a lot of stylistic ground, from old-timey mountain music to a blue-grass take on U2..."
