Advantages: A good plant Disadvantages: a bit invasive
Reed is a name that is used to describe many similar plants that grow in water.A reed is a plant that is grasslike with long flat leaves. The edges of the reed leaf can sometimes be very sharp .I have actually cut myself on them sometimes .
One reed is used for thatching that is a reed called Norfolk reed but some reeds are used that are grown in other countries. Water reed is a stronger more durable thatch then long wheat straw which are also used to thatch roofs. Norfolk reed is also used for fencing panels .
The Norfolk reed beds are well known as good places to go birding. Cley marsh has an area of reed bed. The bearded tit nests in these east anglian reed beds. The Sedge and the Reed warbler, the bittern and the great crested grebe are amongst other birds that use the reed beds making their nests from the reeds. There are ...

Well now that my reviews for Chicago and Las Vegas have been completed I guess its time to move onto my third stop, don't worry only two more stops after this, in what was an amazing summer. The next leg of my journey took me to the state capital of Washington DC. The roots of American democracy and the political capital of the world. This was actually my last stop before coming back home, however I just felt like writing about this now. I had pre booked my ticket to DC whilst I was in London with American Airlines from Chicago; it set me back about £150, which for a peak time in mid July was not bad what so ever. Having stayed in DC for a week this review will focus more on the sights and places I visited, if I forget to mention the obvious places to see its because I didn't really go their and I therefore don't see the need to mention ...
Advantages: An intereresting STATE to be in. Disadvantages: It can be cold and wet! When its hot its HOT
In 1990 I fell in love! corny? not really, I was in love with Washington State, and what a State to be in. Where do I start. In Seattle on the borders of Canada, or by the Columbia River Gorge, on the Borders of Oregon. Yes that is where my affair began. Portland in Oregan. From the Airport in Portland it is just a few minutes drive to Camas in Washington where I stayed with friends for a while.
Camas is a really small town on the river, known for its logging, and Paper Factories. A very pretty little town, high above the river. with views of Portland on the other side, when at night the lights from this large modern town in Oregon twinkle in a dazzling display of stars hovering over the river, their reflection doubling the display as they bounced off the water. If you look south the first thing you notice is Mount Hood ...

Recording information: Ridge Sound Studio, Philadelphia, PA. A high-quality, wonderfully memorable set of mid- and uptempo funky jazz from a master REED SEED was Grover Washington, Jr.'s final album for Kudu/Motown. It was also one of two recordings his issued in 1978--the other is the stone-killer live set LIVE AT THE BIJOU. While the saxophonist had been experimenting with funk since 1971's INNER CITY BLUES, by 1975's breakthrough recordings MISTER MAGIC and FEELS SO GOOD, he'd perfected his modus operandi--he had stellar grooves, very polished production, and accessible arrangements. Many straight-ahead jazz fans dug Washington's sound as well because of his technical facility on his instruments. REED SEED, like its immediate studio predecessor SECRET PLACE is a transition album from jazz-funk to what would become contemporary or, if you will, smooth jazz. That said, it is no less compelling than MISTER MAGIC or FEELS SO GOOD. REED SEED was a fitting way for Washington to leave the Kudu/Motown stable; it's a high-quality, wonderfully memorable set of mid- and uptempo funky jazz from a master.
