bright sun with the temperature around 30°C. A WHITE minibus approaches, then another, and another! Invitations are issued to climb aboard. But what did the rep have to say? Dire warnings as we recalled?.about safety, speed, overcrowding et alia. We boarded the fourth bus! What an experience!
These are the 'reggae (mini) buses'! Otherwise known as ZR's (license plate letters!) the buses are WHITE some with a maroon stripe down the side. It transpired we were on Route 11. There were loads of them about ? the service was more frequent, more regular, and ran later at night.
Any trip on a reggae bus is nothing if not memorable. Our driver was an extremely relaxed fellow, smoking a thin cigarette throughout, sporting beard, dreadlocks, and a colourful knitted wooly rasta hat. Our fellow passengers, all locals, generated a great atmosphere ...

Advantages: Many activities Disadvantages: Too long for some people
Dark Chronicle is a game that excels in many areas, but its main drawback is the fact that it can be a little repetitive at points and has the potential to take well over 100 hours to explore every facet of the game.
The story starts with a short but effective battle tutorial that it is possible to lose if you are a complete incompetent. After a dramatic murder scene, you are introduced to one of the two main characters, called Max, and eventually, after chasing a small boy for a few minutes, you enter a circus. This is a game obviously intended for younger people, but some parts are good enough for some adults to enjoy and get involved in.
After you enter the circus, you witness a disturbing event for the character, but often quite amusing for the person playing. This culminates in a humorous chase scene that contains Max ...
Advantages: Great for children. Makes them want to read. Disadvantages: Doesn't appeal to older people like HP films
It seems to be the craze of late to turn children's fantasy novels into films. We've had Harry Potter, The Golden Compass, The Lord of the Rings (though not really a children's novel) and now we have the Spiderwick Chronicles a film which is based on a whole series of books rather than anyone.
The Spiderwick Chronicles starts off with Arthur Spider wick (played by David Straitharn) compiling his field guide to the secret world around us. He has discovered that we cannot see everything and all around us all manner of creatures exist from faeries to evil orcs and he has befriended some and made enemies with others as he has learned how to see them.
The film then moves on 80 years in time and Arthur Spiderwick has disappeared many years ago and is obviously thought dead. His daughter has been sectioned to an asylum and now his ...
