Fun from the Sun
Review of Below The Bassline - Ernest Ranglin by NomisG

Advantages: Great fun music. Sunshine on a rainy day...
Disadvantages: Watch out if you have a dodgy back!

...The Judgement Nana's Chalk Pipe Below The Bassline And a muscicians list (also easily available off the 'net) Ernest Ranglin Guitar Gary Mayone Percussion & Keyboards Idris Muhammad Drums Ira Coleman Acoustic Bass Monty Alexander Piano & Melodica (also Producer) Roland Alphonso Soprano & Tenor Sax Please forgive me for not ranting on about each of these guys, but as I have already said I'm no expert on Reggae - I just love this album - and ...
...In summary, why do I like this album? Its fun. Pure and simple. Its sounds like the guys had fun when they made it, it draws you into it and gets you moving and emotionaly involved. If you can sit still and listen to this then change your Hi-Fi ('cause you ain't hearing it right) or call the undertaker! Enjoy. ... Read review

Scientific
Review of Scientific - Hepcat by amessagetoyou

Advantages: Great album, very soulful, great musicians + vocals -very, very talented
Disadvantages: Never going to touch out of nowhere for originality and general catchiness.

Great album, i'm listening to it as a write this review. Great to chill out, very relaxed and melodic which is what hepcat do best! Come out is my favourite track on this album - its very, very catchy. Hepcat are highly influenced by the likes of the Skatalites and this really shines through on this album - very, very close comparison to first wave ska, keeping the vibes flowing and not given in to the rather annoying trend of annoying, punk inspired ... Buju The Stamina Daddy
Review of Stamina Daddy - Buju Banton by XICripZ

Advantages: Some big tunes
Disadvantages: Quite repetitive

Originally named "Stamina Daddy", "Quick" was the debut album from the Reggae and Dancehall star, Buju Banton. It came out in 1992 at first, but under the new title, it was released the following year. 1. "Quick" (feat. Winston Riley) The beat in this one lived on far longer than the tune, as it has been heard recently in Hip hop tracks by Statik Selektah, and Guerilla Black, and to be honest, I found that they worked a lot better than in this original ...
...is supposed to lead the album as its highlight piece. **Three Stars** 2. "Bring You Body Come" (feat. Winston Riley) For me, this is the top track off the album and does exactly what I want of a hot Dancehall track. On this one, you get all of the energy from a typical Dancehall tune of today, and with the most successful producer in Winston Riley to hand, he was able to come up with a banger of a tune. **Five Stars** 3. "Stamina Daddy" (feat. ... Read review
