The first track, with the same name as the album is probably the odd one out, being a quality tune with a more slow/rootsy feel to it. After that, the album takes on a more ragga/dancehall stance to it but retains the high levels of consciousness and quality. ...for. Each track is in its own way a masterpiece but I would not expect everyone to like the style of this album. Sizzla is a good reggae artist, whenever you listen to a sizzla albumor a sizzla song you know that it is sizzla because his voice is very unique and his words are very powerful. With songs like \"Solid as a rock\" which is track 3 on the album and also one of my favorite songs and a song that is always being played in the club even though the song is about 5 years old and with songs like \"rejoice\" which is song 4 on the album. Ok, my second Sizzla review, but each album is so different, it might as well be the first. Released in 1999 this album ‘Royal Son Of Ethiopia’ sits between ‘Freedom Cry’ released the previous year and ‘Be I Strong’ released a couple months after. The reason why he produces the odd poor attempt at an album is probably down to it being rushed or simply experimenting with other genres and sounds. Great music, great singer, great lyrics!! Has his very own style ever since this first album of his. His music is a unique mix of reggae and ska with some soul, funk, jazz and hip hop elements in it. ...and the first release of Legend was in 1984. 10 platinum albums later, having been on vinyl, cassette, and CD it remains the biggest selling album of it's genre (well I couldn't find any bigger) and arguably the greatest set of Marley songs on one album.
