Sizzla is a good reggae artist, whenever you listen to a sizzla albumor a sizzla song you know that it is sizzla because his voice is very unique and his words are very powerful. With songs like \"Solid as a rock\" which is track 3 on the album and also one of my favorite songs and a song that is always being played in the club even though the song is about 5 years old and with songs like \"rejoice\" which is song 4 on the album. Most artist are ... ...them and he is always telling a story. My favorite song on his album would have to be track 5 \"thank you mamma\" that is a very strong song and there should be more songs like that in the music world today, sizzla also has a couple of love songs on his album \"woman I need you\" track 6, \"she is so loving\" track 13, \"just one of those days\" track 10 which is one of my favorite songs. Advantages: Tracks 1,4 & 8 are great. Disadvantages: The rest soon get boring.
Ok, my second Sizzla review, but each album is so different, it might as well be the first. Released in 1999 this album ‘Royal Son Of Ethiopia’ sits between ‘Freedom Cry’ released the previous year and ‘Be I Strong’ released a couple months after. If you are not familiar with Sizzla, he is one of the most prolific reggae artists and been caught up in his fair share of controversy. He’s released over 30 albums now and has both a good and bad track ... ...time, yet he’s also come out with a couple that don’t deserve a second listen. The reason why he produces the odd poor attempt at an album is probably down to it being rushed or simply experimenting with other genres and sounds.
