Hot Shot

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

Hot Shot was released by reggae artist Shaggy in 2000 and done really well in the album charts at the time, this is a really good album and has a lot of memorable songs, including the most famous 'It wasnt me' and 'Angel'. Hot Shot is a funky, sexy and cool mix of tracks, and is in my opinion Shaggys best album. You can buy this album in most good music stores for around the £5 mark which is a really good deal if you a fan of Shaggy or are into reggae ...

Good music

Advantages: Good beats and lyrics
Disadvantages: none that I can think of

15 songs are on this album and the song are nice songs. Some songs are love songs, dancing songs and some songs are partying song. Shaggy is also another reggae artist that gets better with time and most of his songs are great. his lyrics are outstanding and most of the beats on this album is exceptional. Out of 15 songs I like 12 songs. Most of shaggy songs are catchy and you will find yourself replaying the songs while dancing to them. For those ...

I Swear It Wasn't Me

Advantages: His classics are on here
Disadvantages: Not enough club tune

...Shaggy. "They call me Mr. Hot Shot" It is a jumpy beat as Shaggy provides smooth soft vocals. 2. "Lonely Lover" **Four Stars** This is a nice tune as the first with its pace, however this does up the tmpo espespially with Shaggy's toasts. In this he soeaks alongside an anonamous singer about how he doesn't want to be how the title sugests, a lonely lover. 3. "It Wasn't Me" (feat. Rik Rok) **Five Stars** This is a Shaggy classic and probably his ...
...a humourous track as Rik Rok plays the part of a person husband caught cheating firdt-hand by his wife. Shaggy acts as the advisor to him with some typical fas toasting from Shaggy. 4. "Freaky Girl" **Four Stars** This follows on nicely from the song before, at the beginning it buils up the tempo and acts parrallely to sexual acts. It is very clever and subtle, but defintately there, from the pre-action to the main and finally climax. 5. "Leave ...

Him Name Buju Banton... Nahh Mr. Mention

Advantages: Lots of bangers
Disadvantages: Ends on a track that's weaker than the rest

“Mr. Mention” was released in 1992 as the second album from the Jamaican Dancehall musician Buju Banton. It dropped soon after his debut (within a year) and so had him showing just how productive he could be at the time as he brought lots of his Dancehall material (that became much more Reggae-styled as his career developed and he embraced Rastafarians ways. 1. “Batty Rider” The album opens up with one of the biggest singles that he had released ...
...that here you get him blasting through a fly tune that has him bringing through the sort of controversial lyrics that gave him notoriety when he broke into the game at the age of 15 with “Boom Bye Bye”. It is a hardcore tune, but one that I can’t say is really for all due to the themes. **Five Stars** 2. “Love How The Gal-Dem Flex” This is a big tune on the release and one that is seen to build upon the sorts of things that were heard on the first ...

Dawning of a New Era: AMAZING!

Advantages: Perfect in every way! So many tracks!
Disadvantages: Nothing

...one of them! Dawning of a New Era gathers together tracks from the classic era of reggae, 1968 & '69, and like the equally-essential "Dancehall '69", was compiled by Michael De Koningh, which means you get an impeccable selection of prime reggae, beginning with the massive tune "John Jones" from Rudy Mills. From there highlights include the so-terrible-it's-brilliant "Rescue Me" by The Reggae Girls, the even better "Su Su Su" by The Pioneers, a perfect ...
...Flint", and "Reggae Hit the Town" - the absolute classic tune from The Ethiopians, plus my personal favourite - "Splash Down" by The Crystalites, a driving instrumental which could be used as the musical dictionary term for "skinhead reggae instrumental" (if there was such a thing), it's so good. With a great mix of skin organ instrumentals and vocal anthems, and with two CDs there are so many classics pakced on here that you'll have a fantastic ...
