Slayer Reign In Blood!!!
Thought as by many as the greatest and most influencial Thrash / Speed Metal Ever Created. And what makes me surprised is that people are still saying this today and its nearly 20 years since this cd was first produced, this cd has been manufactured by a lot of cd companies and still in thjis day and age of the year 2005 its still going strong thanks to the likes of the songs:
Angel of Death
Piece by Piece
Necrophobic
... ...and last but definatly not least. Raining Blood
If you are fortunate to have the EXPANDED EDITION however you are privilaeged to have two more great tracks:
Aggressive Perfector
and a remix of Criminally Insane
The band were accused as a bunch of Nazis by various people, but with such awsaopme lyrics suchs as Auchwitz The meaning of pain the way i want you to die (Angel of Death) its a fair statment. fot those of you who don't know Auchwitz was ...

Advantages: Pure Head-Banging Metal from start to finish! Disadvantages: I haven't got to see them live yet!
Reign In Blood is absolutely brilliant and will no doubt take pride of place within all heavy / black metal fans CD collections!
From Angel of Death to Raining Blood the Album is phenominal, with Henneman and King playing some amazing guitar solos - especially in Angel of Death.
It's one of these Albums that you just blare at the top of the speakers and you can't help but jump around as if you were watching them live some of the time (or maybe ...

...Reign in BloodReign in blood is the third studio album by thrash legends, Slayer. It was released on October 7th 1986 and is regarded as a classic metal album. The album was delayed because of the lyrical themes. In the opening track "Angel of death" they sang about the acts that occured at auschvitz concentration camp. This lead to claims of Nazism which the band have always denied and explained they just have an interest in the subject.
My opinion
The opening track could not have been any better. The speed is intense and the riffs and vocals prove how good the band are. Also the drumming sound is great. It's no wonder that this song is still nearly always part of their set. The other highlights of the album have to be "Jesus saves" and "Raining blood". The whole album is just classic slayer and it can't be faulted...

Advantages: way ahead of the rest Disadvantages: 1 or 2 filler tunes
...I have been a Slayer fan since I've been about 14 years old and ten years later I still love this band. Of course by now everyone hears that Reign In Blood is the #1 Slayer or even metal release of all time. I'm not so sure to be honest. I can't even say what Slayer album is the best (which is why I need them all), but this album is certainly fantastic, if just overhyped. I've heard the complaint that it sounds like the same stuff over and over again. Honestly, that's the point. This is not so much a song by song experience as it is an experience of the sound of mayhem. I've heard it said that the guitars are too crazy (and they called themselves metal fans...unbelievably ignorant) and again, that's the point. Slayer is obviously skilled, but the skill is not the focus for me, it's the chaos. This album is certainly chaos. It...

Advantages: awesome album for thrash fans Disadvantages: sucks for everyone else
...‘Reign in Blood’ was one of the first albums I ever bought and it still sounds good today. Loud, brash, fast and ultimtely brutal, ‘Reign in Blood’ was the album that confirmed Slayer as a leading light on the thrash scene. Opening with the uncompromising ‘Angel of Death’ and roaring through to the superb ‘Raining Blood’, this album is a supreme piece of speed metal.
Despite appearances of being the usual satan obsessed death/thrash album typical of the early 80s, the band claim that it is more a tongue in cheek look at Christianity and a test of people’s beliefs rather than anything else. With an album sleeve packed with pentagrams, fire, a goatheaded protaganist etc. coupled with lyrics which invite you to ‘enter to the world of satan’, ‘praise hell, satan...
