Album Notes: Personnel include: Capleton (vocals); Stephen Marley (vocals); Dalton Browne (guitar); Dean Fraser (horns); Paul Crossdale (keyboards); Donald Basie (bass guitar); Kirk Bennett, Stephen Gibbs (drums); Sly Dunbar, Herman Davis, Bobby Dixon (percussion).
Advantages: all the riddims are good and generally this showcases capletons unique style well Disadvantages: for some reason there are 4 or 5 anthony b tracks at the end which are weak
...this is a collection of some the very prolific capletons singles. All of the capleton tracks are good benefitting from some top notch riddims, the hightlights being ready fe burn and the niabingi drums of things are happening. However the main problems of this collection are that being previously released singles if you are a fan you will have hear most of it before. It does not really have the feeling of being a complete album in the way still blazing or more fire does, to top it off the final few tracks on the album are by roots artist anthony b and while these are not bad songs they pale in comparision to the cap[leton tunes. Overall a good c.d...

Advantages: A Passionate Desire, May Burn A Gem-Like Fire... Disadvantages: Consumed By Flames Of Woe; We All Someday Must Go...
...was about 4, my nursery school chums and I always knew what our "favourite things" were... and we were quite ardent in our devotion to them too. There was no hesitation or indecisiveness; no pausing to reflect or reconsider our selections. We only had one shot at rehearsing them to politely tolerant, but otherwise totally indifferent adults: "Favourite superhero-- SPIDERMAN; favourite colour-- BLUE, favourite toy-- TONKA FIRE ENGINE, favourite ice cream flavour--MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP..." None of us particularly CARED whether or not you wanted to hear them recited either. You just DID. That was the rule. You had no choice. We didn't make a distinction between a cornered listener's "captivated, rapt amazement" and his or her "fast-eroding, insincere tolerance." Why? Because, without our mind-numbingly tedious "favourite-thing rap," we had no way...
