Advantages: Soft Following Music Disadvantages: CD could be longer
...As with Llewllyn's first Reiki CD I fully enjoy listening to Reiki Gold while giving myself a Reiki treatment, each track is timed to about 5 minutes for each hand position. The music is very soft and free flowing so it just glides right into each track. This CD does not restrict itself to being listened to just for Reiki as I very often listen to it while meditating or continued relaxation after Reiki.
The music on this CD is very typical of what you would expect from a relaxation CD so clients would also enjoy this music without out it being to eccentric for people.
I would recommend this CD not only to Reiki practitioner but to anyone wishing to use it for any kind of relaxation....

Advantages: Fantastic Gregorian Chants Disadvantages: None
...The Gregorian Chant is probably one of the finest types of choral singing ever. In the entire history of the whole world. That's just so as you know where I am coming from on this one!
The history of the Gregorian Chant is an old one. It dates back to at least to the time of Pope Gregory I or Gregory the Great as he was otherwise known. Gregory abandoned his life as an up -and-coming young Roman patrician, of whom great things were expected. But he became a monk, instead. After being ordained by the pope, he eventually became pope himself. He served as pope between 590 to 604.
Pope Gregory worked hard to formalise and bring togther the varied types of church singing as part of the Mass. And the result of his work was the Gregorian Chant.
The Gregorian Chant is far from a dead form of choral music. Far from it...

Advantages: Calming and soothing music. Disadvantages: The tracks all generally resemble one another.
...This CD has been immensely popular as of late and even reached high into the music charts- not usual for Gregorian chanting I am sure!
It's popularity may be due to the fact that it is an immensely relaxing album- the soothing singing of the monks is guaranteed to send one to sleep or just to put one into a state of relaxation.
Included in the CD are recordings of the bells of HeiligenKreuz also, but the majority of the album comprises of Gregorian chanting. It may be said that there is not a huge diversity of songs or a great difference between each track.
The CD lasts approximately one hour, and it is a great CD to listen to if you want to enjoy a calming hour without wanting a collection of greatly different tracks such as one would get with a modern artist or modern style of music.
Much of the CD is requiem...
