Advantages: The box can be recycled Disadvantages: Where do I begin ?
Whilst doing my usual weekly shop I saw something on the shelf that I hadn't seen in years "Vesta Beef Curry" and what a blast from the past it was too. I believe this was how I was first introduced to curry some 30 years ago (I know I was quite young at the time)
Because of the length of time I was spending taking a nostalgic look and also a trip down memory lane, my son asked what was so special about this box and its contents.
After explaining at length, I must have inadvertently wet his appetite and stirred his curiosity as he asked if he could have one to try.
Even after stressing this would neither look, nor taste anything like the curries he is used to, he still seemed rather excited at the prospect of trying this curry in a box.
Nothing had changed with this 236g product except for the £1.58 price tag. It still came ...
Advantages: Easy to cook. Can use microwave. Disadvantages: Fairly high salt content.
I love Vesta Chow Mein it is so simple to prepare and it tastes great! Total preparation time is 25 minutes.
Sometimes if my partner is late home I dont really want to be cooking a dinner late in the evening so the chow mein is good for providing a tasty meal in no time at all.
You can cook on the hob or use a microwave, to be honest I have never cooked it on the hob as the microwave option is so easy as you can leave it cooking without having to watch it which means I can be getting on with other things.
Quite simply empty the chow mein packet and the soft noodle packet into a bowl and stir in 525mls of boiling water then microwave for 5 mins then stir then microwave another 5 mins - easy peasy!
With this dish you get crispy noodles which are divine, a little tricky to get right if you dont have a deep fat fryer like me ...
Advantages: You may laugh Disadvantages: You may eat ice cream
So here I am, sitting quietly with my wife and who should pop in but Bill Clinton. Things get a bit boring so my wife starts to ask us this question I found on Ciao.
1) Do you agree with Open Relationships?
Clinton: Hell yes, but don?t tell my wife, or the voters. Say your mighty nice looking ain?t ya. Is there any way I can get a horn to blow on, or maybe for you to blow on little lady?
Dardalius: What ever floats your boat. Not for me though, I?m not the possessive jealous type but somebody else being with my wife would hurt too much, I don?t know if I could handle it, the thought is upsetting enough. I know she feels the same.
2) Have you ever had an Open Relationship?
Clinton: No, never. They?ve always been behind closed doors. Hey what?s that line of icing sugar doing on my desk, I?ll clear it away. Opps, ma belt seems ...

Principally recorded at East Bay Recording, Tarrytown, New York; Can Am, Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys, California; Starlight Studio, Brentwood, California; Andora Studios, Studio City, California. Ever since she released "Congratulations," the official anthem for jilted lovers everywhere, it was clear that Vesta was able to use her vocal range to elicit some sort of emotion from even the most discriminating listener. The power of her voice on that track intimated depths of betrayal and pain that forced many to relive a moment (or moments for the unlucky) that they had desperately tried to bury. On RELATIONSHIPS, she proves that her power remains undiminished. The theme of the album is, of course, relationships, and her incredible voice tackles all aspects...from the pain of love ("I'll Be Alright") to communication and understanding ("Can You Feel Me") and finding that perfect someone ("You and I"). Accompanied by lush arrangements, Vesta consistently satisfies, leaving little doubt that she is probably the most underrated songstress in R&B.
