Advantages: Glorious early 90s electronica by two genuine pioneers Disadvantages: Might be hard to find
...Brain child of PeteNamlook (aka Peter Kuhlman) and Richie Hawtin, From Within was one of the first albums that alerted me to the joys of electronica and thus has a very special place in my musical heart.
PeteNamlook, for those that have never encountered him, is a virtual electronica factory, at one point churning out an album almost once a fortnight and released on his independent Fax label. His work is wide and occasionally inconsistent. He has collaborated with innumerable musicians, many of which are of the highest order, such as the grandmaster of krautrock Klaus Schulze, Geir Jensen (aka Biosphere), Bill Laswell, Tetsu Inoue, Bobby Bird (aka HIA) and Jonah Sharp (and the list goes on and on). Advantages: Brilliant Album for the Summer Disadvantages: I don't like a couple of tracks
...Hairbrush Divas (Music you just have to sing along to) was the creation of centuryfm network and is a compilation album that "does exactly what it says on the tin".
The album consists of a variety of mainly feelgood songs from old and new mixed up in a way that makes it an album for all ages, whether your're 9 or 90 :0)
Either way, you'll be up singing and dancing at any party to this album.
My favorite song of all on this album is TLC with Waterfalls. Althought it was played a lot at the time it was released and I heard it a bit too much, it's nice to hear it now - an at least I know all the words from hearing it so much before :0)
THE SONGS (year in brackets)
Disc 1
01. Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around (2000)
02. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder on the Dancefloor (2001)
03. Prince - Kiss (1986)
04. Liberty X - Just...

Advantages: Better selection of bands Disadvantages: Still a few oddities

Compilation albums can often suffer from too much variety but 'Rock Against Bush Vol.2' has gone against the norm, blending the Irish influenced music of Flogging Molly, the pop-punk emo of Yellowcard and the ska of the legendary Operation Ivy perfectly, culminating in a well devised record. Useless ID’s 'State Of Fear' also changes the tempo, with its short but well-situated guitar solo, fast-paced drumbeats and guitaring, re-kindling the punk-side of this album after...
