Every year an album is released which, regardless of your usual taste, is enjoyed by everyone. This is an album to make you feel good and is crammed with top tunes to get you moving. All four singles lifted from this album have gone into the top twenty, not bad for a debut album from a dance act that no-one had heard of until last year. It opens with 'Rendez-vu' which is a track that could have been written by Kraftwerk in the 70s. Basement Jaxx can make you dance, their tracks grab hold of you and drag you in with no remorse. With tracks like 'Red alert'and 'Yo Yo' you have no choice but to give in to them. They do cool things down some of the time but still leave you uplifted and wanting more. One for the groovers and anyone who knows good music.
