This CD was one of those items that Brittania music club decided to send me for no reason whatsoever! Initially, I didn't think it was all that but the more I listened to it the more it grew on me.

It's not the type of music that you can really pigeonhole. There's all sorts of styles of music on it. Totally different to everything else around at the moment. All the songs are different which is good on an album. There is a mix of musical styles including R'n'B, dance and a little light rock.

I heard of Basement Jaxx through MTV, they played 'Rendez Vous'to death! 'Rendez Vous' is the first song and it is my favourite off the album, although 'Jump 'n' Shout' is pretty jumpy too (excuse the pun!) Some of the songs are a little strange, but it adds to the overall appeal of the album. Change is good :-)

The videos for the songs are great too, telling a story in the case of "Red Alert" and "Rendez vous". I have to admit that I have not seen a video for "Jump 'n' Shout". The visuals are riveting and the sounds are totally uplifting. The lyrics to "Jump 'n' Shout do escape me a little, and although they are printed on the CD inlay, I'm still not convinced!!

I have also seen them perform live, and they were absolutely tremendous. I can't wait for a new album, if one is on the cards, because the last one was so different I am desperate to know what they can do with their next album!

I would recommend this album to anyone, I believe that there is honestly something for every person's tastes.
