Advantages: Different to the norm, a bit of culture. Disadvantages: Not as many good songs as I was expecting.
..., people, now as soon as I heard Lo Imprescindible, song number 10 here, I froze, it is the worst song I have heard ever, from Shakira.Now normally when Shakira's music is not up to scratch, her voice is what makes the song bearbable/listenable, unfortunately my friends, this is not what is happening here. Her voice is not saving this song, no way no how!
Song eleven is an accoustic version of La Pared, without the Eurythmics sample, it is a lot more chilled and mellow, easier to listen to than the first version, much more aurally pleasing!
Song twelve, and the last addition to this album, is the Shaketon Remix of La Tortura. Some remixes can really ruin a song, bastardise it so much that you don't want to listen to the original anymore. Advantages: Really good, long awaited album! Disadvantages: Perhaps a few too many slow songs for non-Shakira fans!
...If like me you've waited ages for Shakira's new album, you definitely won't be disapointed!

Advantages: Too many to list, but that spanish/holiday feel, it brings is the main advantage! Disadvantages: None at all! Still listen to this 2 years later!
...This album has been out for a while now, but thought I'd better write a review to let everyone know just how good it is!
~~~Background~~~
Shakira, the columbian international singer has been famous for a lot longer than many people realise, and has been producing album's for years in her native language of spanish.
~~~The CD~~~
This CD has it all from upbeat, "get up and dance", salsa themed songs -to emotional, powerful ballads.
The CD begins with Objection (tango), a truly wonderful upbeat song with a salsa themed background. There is the well-known hit "Wherever Whenever" with the lovely sound of the holiday-themed pan flutes, and Underneath your clothes- the famous, beautiful ballad.
There are many good songs including "The one", where the lyrics are truly amazing and well thought out, to "Rules" and "Ready for the good...
