Advantages: Production, Guest Stars, Beats Disadvantages: Same songs different spin
...Bad boy records is back with avengence with this great remix cd. Normally I am not keen on artists releasing CD's with just remixes of old songs on as I think it is personally a cop out.
This remix cd I am glad to say is different! There are remix of very popular songs such as "Foolish" by Ashanti and also "No more Drama" by the real queen of RnB Mary J.
But you also get some great new songs such as "I need a girl" part one and two, which are brilliant, although I really think he should let J Lo go now!!!
Production/Beats: As you would expect with a Diddy production it is very tight! Beats are very funky and clear/crisp and every song which has been remixed sounds much better!
Lyrics: All of the songs are very simple and designed for easy listening. With most Diddy songs you are never going to get very thought provoking...

Advantages: A danceable collection Disadvantages: One really naff track
...This is my first album review so any criticisms or advice will be greatly appreciated.
I decided to review J to tha Lo – the Remixes, an album by Miss Big Butt herself, Jennifer Lopez, as it is one of the CD’s in our house that gets a lot of play time.
The album cover is a collection of pictures from her various musical videos.
J-Lo released this offering in March 2002, and the album offers remixed versions of many of her tracks, previously released as singles, or on her other albums. A con, to persuade us to part with more money? Well, see what you think.
The album is available from HMV priced at £16.99.

Advantages: A few really good tracks, some De La Soul tunes you have never heard before Disadvantages: The album has no flow, a few weak remixes

In the stacks of wax you can find the De La Mix: Remixes, Rarities & Classics, De La Soul's 2004 release on Tommy Boy/ Rhino. This is not so much a greatest hits as it is a revisiting in an alternate universe. Both commercial and critical successes are treated to a fresh dusting off, live performance or remix on this disk.
Laying down the Knowledge
For those of you that don't already know, De La Soul has been around since rap was just rap. Hip hop was just starting to take root as a music genre. There was just rap. When the boys from Long Island hit the scene there was the rap that played on the radio and the rap we listened to when our parents were out of ear shot. De La dropped 3 Feet High...
