Results/Visual Results (Expanded Edition/+DVD) - Liza Minnelli

Outstays its welcome

Advantages: Lots of up-tempo music
Disadvantages: Sounds too much like a solo Minnelli album

The Act is a musical by my favourite Broadway team of songwriters, John Kander and Fred Ebb, and yet I always find it a little disappointing. Famous for writing Cabaret, Chicago and New York, New York, the two of them supplied a series of star turns for Liza Minnelli, as a nightclub star, and hence the C sounds very much like a Liza album, with a couple of other tracks thrown in. The songs aren't bad, and some of them are rather good indeed. 'Arthur in the Afternoon'. for example, is top notch comedy, delivered perfectly by Liza, and the number sung by the chorus members (presumably while Liza had forty winks to get her breath back), 'Little Do They Know', works very well as an insiders view of being a Broadway-type dancer. There is also a lovely ballad called 'My Own Space', which Minnelli carries off fairly well. Unfortunately ...

Expanding Realms

Advantages: Great range, Good design, Cisco heritage
Disadvantages: Complicated install, not cheap

the package and in it got the range expander, network cable (rj45), two power cords (called power plates), one that slots into the back of the expander and then straight into the power socket, and one which slots into the expander and had about 1.5 meters of cord. Beyond this you get the instructions and installation CD. So, it all seemed relatively simple. Before I begin, there is an auto config button on the side of the range expander. You simply hold the button down for a few seconds and the device will automatically find your network and hey presto. Well only if you have a simple network with little or no security. Below like most, is the out come if you have MAC filtering, WEP security and a disabled SSID broadcast (all the tech terms are explained as you read on!!) First attempt at installing resulted in the expander not being found ...

Ultimate Results with the Ultimate workout

Advantages: Short, effective workouts
Disadvantages: None

I try to exercise regularly, and have always used exercise videos and DVD's, as I'm quite self-conscious and I don't fancy working out in front of other people in the gym. I have tried absolutely loads of different fitness videos, but one of my top three would have to be Ultimate Results by Beverley Callard. ~About the DVD~ This is the third out of four fitness videos Beverley has released. I already owned the first two, Real Results and Rapid Results when I bought this one, and I enjoyed them both. The first two were hour-long workouts, this one however is slightly different, as it is split into three separate 20 minute workouts. I think this is much better as for a lot of people, finding a full hour to exercise is not always easy. You will need an exercise mat before you begin, and you can also use weights between one ...
