Death Row's first release of 1998 saw a very different world than the one it was used to. Companies like Bad Boy and No Limit had taken the real rap game that Death Row founded and transformed it into a purely commercial entity in a very short few months. During this sad change, fans became accustomed to formula songs that are guaranteed success, and they quickly changed loyalty to these companies. How quickly they forget that Death Row paved the path for these very labels' success!
With this alteration of fan mindset, a good Daz album sold weakly. I knew that Puffy's formula-hits would change the industry for the worse.
But with appearances from 2Pac and other fellow Deathrow Records artists, this album did not get the respect (or the sales) it deserved. ...

Daz with a difference, Daz Mandarin and Lime Splash.
You do get some good offers and promotions on laundry products and Wilkinson's had this Daz on special offer, two 680g boxes for £2.80, at that price it was to much to resist.
The combination of mandarin and lime sounded fine and I always seem to like those fresh citrus smells.
The packaging is more or less what you would expect, the bright red Daz box with a slice of lime and an orange segment floating along the bottom. The fruit is bursting with juice which looks fresh and appealing.
The slogan however is not the most sophisticated I have ever come across, `The Zesty Splosh that freshens your wash!`
Wow, that one took some thinking up !
The Daz powder is fairly soft and fine and it does have a strong citrus smell although I cannot especially pick out either lime or mandarin ...

The ?Don?t Go 2 Sleep? EP came in 2001 and was a release that featured the duo of Tha Dogg Pound?s DazDillinger and 2Pac, working under the collective name of Makaveli & Dillinger. It features recordings from the 1995-1996 period at Death Row Records once 2Pac had been released from prison and features unreleased material from ?Pac (which Daz literally stole) and finds Daz simply rapping alongside the artist to support the work and make it into a collaborative release (even though the pair didn?t work that closely together at the time when ?Pac recorded it all.
