After Eric's death, a replacement was found in Eric Singer (ex Gary Moore, of other things). This album was one of the heaviest that Kiss have created ever.
The opening track 'Unholy' is very reminiscent of War Machine in places. They even had time ot write a song for the second Billand Ted film, which even though it was a cover was quite catchy.
This album also was the last official album Kiss made without the make up - Unplugged and Carnival of Souls do not count as they were firstly a demo album and secondly a reunion album.
The final track was a dedication to Eric, with a clip of him doing his great drum solos from a track that was destined to be on 'The Elder'.
A fitting epitaph to a great guy - we'll miss you.
