...point I'm making is 'The Alternative To Love' is a record you can really enjoy listening to. There's a touching, earnest simplicity to the lyrics which adds something really nice to the music behind them, even if at first they seem a little...lazy.

Advantages: Pure Quality from the start Disadvantages: absoulutly nothing
...liked Spit it out and Alternative to Love but all the songs are great in their own way.
Spit It Out is a rather rocky tune with a great Bass line and the chorus is very catchy with great guitar at the end of the chorus.
Cold Hands (Warm Heart) this is a much more mellow song with some relaxing guitar and vocals there is also some nice percussion. His voice is actually quite warming as the name suggests.
Feel like myself : great opening percussion ... ...of the album. Lyrics are great as are the vocals.
Addicted to Love : Guitar and Vocals superb in this song this has to be Brendan Bensons's Anthem. Bass makes an entrance occasionally but it is mainly guitar.
Pledge : This song sounds as if it is taken straight out of a western but not in a bad way it is not country music but it does contain maracas or something that sounds very similar to me. It sort of sounds like an opening to an epic movie.

Advantages: great sound Disadvantages: not enough songs!
An amazing album by an amazing band. All of the songs are catchy and will get stuck in your head - but in a good way. The beat is great, and the lyrics just flow. The first track is a grade A beat, with really thought provoking lyrics, great connection, and something that we can all relate to. It has the essence of a song that makes it memorable, yet never dull or repetitive. Finally we have found a group that can actually sing, have good lyrics ... ...others do this vital job. The second track starts off like a dream, and doesn't let the CD down, whereas the third goes for a more solid approach, and doesn't miss, giving a slightly under beat sound. The whole album is great, and each song has something different we can all relate to. Track 4 is the best, but the charisma is carried all of the way through to track 12. ...
