Advantages: good sound quality Disadvantages: not enough
The album, American Idiot, from Green Day is one of those albums where you think, “I need some proper drum solos, some electric guitar excellence and punk rock lyrics,” and so say yes I will put on American Idiot. It has all of those qualities. I believe it is their seventh album they have released but it still comes up beating the competition, and smelling of punk rock roses.

American idiot is the new in-your-face album from Greenday.
At £8 - £10, it is excellent value for money and deffinatley worth buying. It is available from most good music stores nationwide.
American idiot tells the story of the typical stereotype of the average american. It explores the feelings of a rebelling punk - rocker, and protests against the way America is run.
Billy Joe Armstrong gives an excellent performance on the CD and has maintained ... ...trying to bring down the american government, which is what this album is all about. The album brings together fantastic basslines, amazing guitar riffs, outstanding drumbeats, and phenomenal vocals. The album includes the recent hits 'American Idiot', 'Blvd of broken dreams' and 'Holiday'. Aswell as new tracks such as 'Jesus of suburbia', 'Whatsherneme' and 'Extraordinary girl'.
This is one band worth listening to, and an album worth buying.

Advantages: A really cool album! Disadvantages: erm .........none
...The songs of American Idiot do gel together very well. Many reviews mention the pro or anti American lyics, as I'm not American this subject it's so close to home for me, however Green Day's rile humuor is, as normal, tucked away in the lyics.
It just a shame all the tickets for the gigs, were sold out the day they were released.
If your a fan of the band, go and buy it!, if your not go a buy Dookie, and find out what the band are about. ...

the first I heard of American Idiot is when I saw the music video of American Idiot. It sounded very good. Then a couple of weeks later I saw an advert for the album. I decided to buy it because of the quality of Green Day's music in the past and the quality of the song American Idiot. I started to listen to some of the best music I have ever heard in a long time. From the great acoustic of wake me up when september ends to the very impressive sound ... ...achievements yet!

Advantages: GreenDay are back and appealling to a new generation of fans whilst keeping the old. Disadvantages: N/A
...this album. The American punk rockers have really out done themselves by catering to both the classic music their old fans enjoyed, and by providing something new to help draw in the new fans not from the Dookie generation.
The album contains the songs American idiot and holiday both of which show the american democrates true intentions. A real slam at politicians which has not been seen for over 2 decades. ...

Advantages: Uplifting, contagious, fast moving Rock Disadvantages: Similar to previous works in areas
...(Time of Your Life) whilst American Idiot brings back memories past of The Grouch. However both should be remebered in their own right as Greenday score another hit with this album and give many people (mostly non-Americans) a laugh at the title and many of the lyrics in the single of the same name.

...attempt by Green Day. Titles American Idiot, this album has really put legendary rockers Green Day back on the scene. All of that is different now that American Idiot has arrived. The latest release from Green Day is their most complex and one of their best works to date.
It's a concept album - a full-length story told over the course of a record's running time. It's also a really good listen, full of catchy melodies and the kind of musical complexity ... ...Boulevard of Broken Dreams, really catchy stuff!!!
If you like green day you'll like this, i am so happy they have finally done something good again!!!

Advantages: Brilliant riffs, Pounding bass guitar, and heartfelt, raw lyrics! Disadvantages: Album cover is basic, and simple.
After a 4 year hiatus from music, and an apparently stolen 'Cigarettes and Valentines' album,I really wasn't expecting anything even half-decent from one of my all time favorite bands - but Green Day have ceased to amaze me with their skills and talents. ...such as the title track American Idiot to moving pieces such as Wake me up when September Ends. The whole album flows as one long masterpiece of music from the opening riffs of American Idiot to the very last beats of Whatsername, once you start listening to it you will completely lose track of time.
I truly love this and find it hard to believe that even Green Day could top it again ...

This is a very good album, with what I consider to be an above average length, clocking in at a nice 57:11.
The album is well structured and if you are paying attention some of the songs actually refer to other songs on the album. There is a lot of political satire in this album.
The current and past releases on the album are “American Idiot” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”
The best tracks on the album are “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “St. ... ...are “Homecoming” because the track is way way too long and not of the high standard I have come to expect of Green Day, And “American Idiot” because it has been overplayed and has lost its touch
This is worth getting if you like Green Day, and another one to look at is “International Superhits” ...

I have this album at home and it is my favourite CD that i own. There are 13 songs on this album but one of them is over 9 minutes long (jesus of suburbia). This is not suitable for people under 10 though because of some of the language used. These songs have good beats and are great. It was released September 2004 and its the bands most ambitous album (so far!). Although some of the songs are quite similer i find them all very good and they grab ...

...was a little disappointed by American Idiot as I expected more but if you really think hard about whether they could have made a better album, the answer is probably not. Don't get me wrong, American Idiot is a fantastic album nonetheless and far greater than many other rock/alternative albums around today. If you are yet to get into Green day I would say buy this album, you will love it and straight after go and buy Dookie/Insomniac and Warning ...

WOW! This is still the catchest tune about! Gauranteed if you heard someone walking down the street humming the tune it would somehow find its way into your head and get stuck there! I love the song, its so catchy and easy to sing along to. Its also got a great beat which would make it a fun song to dance to! This song is definately a firm favourite and I wouldn't hesitate to recomend it to others, as I feel they would love it too lol urmm the videos ...
