One of green day's greatest albums, The songs are really good but some are quite stupid (in my opinion), One of their new songs with U2 ('the saints are coming') is not in the album which is sad but you are not missing out on much as it is quite broing. ...am getting into the music, American Idiot, Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams have really made me listen to the whole album. i am also beginning to get back into the likes of sum41 and blink 182 they are coming out of the trash can. can't wait to hear the neat album from Greenday and i hope it will be as good as American Idiot or back in the bin it goes. keep up the good work lads ...

When I first purchased this CD, I started listening to and was overcome by the tremendous and electrifying sounds. This particular album was 'Green Days' successful attempt at bringing in fans from the younger generation. This album conveys an emotional image, it tells a story about a teenage drug user who lives in a small suburb he is frustrated with life, he eventually leaves to live in 'the big city' One night, he meets a prostitute they quickly ...
...the end she cant stand it any longer and leaves him. He is very sad. After several months, returns to the place where he used to live, although he still misses her, he manages to get along. In my view this is the best album from 'Green Day' to date. ...

...couple of albums... American Idiot is one of the worst songs on this album and it's a pretty good song. If you're basing your decision on whether or not to buy this album based on that song, you're making a big mistake. Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are all completely different songs and take a different approach from their previous albums. Is this album less "punk" than their older stuff? Yes, it is. But, if you want ...
...with a band when they take a step backward, not when they take a huge step forward and put out an album like this. Call it maturing, artistic growth, whatever else you want to call it.
