This is a stunning album. These guys are the natural heirs to REM: the sound is not the same but the invention, attitude, lyricism are all in that league. Don't take the comparison too directly.
This is an accomplished peice of work which denies categorisation. Why do they not have their own category here ? I love Street Spirit which, for me, is one of the great songs of the nineties. It takes an enormous talent to be so emotionally raw and then ...

Advantages: Wicked!!!!!!! Disadvantages: Are you kidding!!!
This is one truely terrific album where for a change every song is wicked instead of fillers which some bands include to get their albums out. I am speaking out as an Radiohead fan but i am only a fan cause their music is brilliant. The Bends is a Guitar album but with differing moods from song to song. The wonderfully simple "Fake plastic trees" and "Nice dream" show the quiet side to the album whereas "just" and "My iron lung" gives the album a ...

Advantages: brilliant lyrics and videos, everything Disadvantages: nope
Radiohead definately are one of the most talented and influential bands of the 90's, ranking, in my opinion, up there with Nirvana, Gun's 'n' Roses and (although I'll probably get slagged for this) Oasis for brilliance. I own The Bends and OK Computer and both are works of art full of breathtaking songs such as Just, Street Spirit, Lucky, Exit Music (for a film) and of course, the almighty Paranoid Android. Thom Yorke is one of the best lyricists ... ...performs the songs is unmistakably unique. Every Radiohead song I have heard has been a joy to listen to and although I have not heard Pablo Honey I'm sure it will be just as good as the others. As for Kid A, I'm not sure what to make of all the criticism of it. Some of my friends hate it but others love it. I guess i will just have to listen to it myself and find out. Another great thing about Radiohead is they always have very entertaining videos ...

Advantages: Inspiring, most people would like this album, as its the closest to chart music Disadvantages: none
I have to say this album is the only album which I think people are more likely to like. The reasons being is that:
1. The bends are the most uplifting of all their other albums.
2. The bends could be more categorised as chart music.
e.g. Fake plastic trees, that is a very simple song, and COULD be regarded as a chart song.
3. You can't compare the album ''Hail to the thief''
with ''The bends'', so therefore it COULD fall into a nearer catergory ...

Advantages: One of the greatest CD's ever writen Disadvantages: Might be too heavy for some people
Where do I start, what a fantastic record. This is one of those records that just requires you to listen to loud with a set of headphones in order to forget about the outside world and let it take you away. In my opinion this is one of the most indepth album's ever writen which every time I listen too I hear new rifts, sounds or words, even after two years of non stop playing. It's an album which sends you through every emotion from powerful sonds ...
