...track is one of the best here. 14. 'All i want is you' Some people call this 'dirge'. I'll give it a chance, but is slow-burning slow-tempo love slush that only really a U2 fan could get into in any big way. Sorry for the insults but that's what you call objectionable! he Best Of U2 1980 - 1990. This is pretty self -explanatory title , but everyone's version of their best differs so widely and besides most of our "best's" wouldn't fit all on one album. This is 14 tracks of glory , listed for you below , just so you can just see how many you do know ! This U2 album is one which people have been waiting for for a while. The front cover goes back to the 'old days' with the picture of 'the' boy. It was released with a second CD at first as a limited edition of their B-Sides from 1980-1990, however there are now only a few remaining, those of which have probably been hidden for value reaons. Advantages: all the hits from the 80's

This is a great U2 album with all their hits from 1980 to 1990. All the old favourites are their including New years day ,Where the streets have no name and Desire. This is a great album if you are not a die hard U2 fan as you dont have to wade throw loads of tracks to actually find one that you know. After seeing U2 pick up the outstanding contribution to music award at the BRITS, and despite what I thought was a very overrated performance at this ceremony I thought I'd dig out my U2 cds to see exactly what it was all about. Listening to these hits from the 1st decade of their career you again realise that U2 are a very good band and just listening to the music allows you to get beyond Bono's ranting which whilst worthy is frankly off putting. U2's best of is probably the most well put together greatest hits album I've ever seen. It picks songs from every era they're focusing on, and perhaps more mportantly puts them in the right order. Being a huge U2 fan anyway, I ran out and bought this as soon as it came out, wanting to get the limited edition. I brought it home, and ran through the A-Side disk. The distinct sound of U2 is brought together on this collection of awesome songs. The album is filled with songs of pain and heartache, Bono really starts to show his dissapointment in the world and the nation. The grit that his voice has tells the story's with experience. Disadvantages: there's one dodgy song, but when the rest are so good, it's easy to forgive

Not being very learned in the lore of this fantastic band, there may be several songs from U2 that ought to be on this album. But if there are, I don't know them, because every song(with the exception of one) on this album is fantastic. So many greatest hits and best of's around now are not a true reflection of the artist's best work - but here is one that is. Having heard all of U2's albums between 1980 and 1990, I can definitely say that almost everything that should be here is here. From the youth driven punk of 'I Will Follow' to the reflective, slow burning 'All I Want Is You', this is pure class all the way through. When i heard this album was coming out, i knew little about U2, but i saw an advert for the album with the tracklisting. 'Pride', yeah i knew that was by U2, 'With or Without You', didn't know they did that, 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' didn't know they did that either.
