Really enjoyable album. Great to listen to in the car. Highly recommended! As with all compilation albums you will love it or hate it! Give it a go!

...Scott. It says it is the best driving anthem but I would not advise you to buy it for driving as it could get your heart racing a bit much with the meotion of it! If you are looking for a full throttle trip through time with some classic tunes which you may or may not like, but it is highly unlikely that you could listen to it and not feel at least a little sentimental or at least remember something about a certain time in your life.. be it a bad/good ... I really love listening to this album. It never seems to grow old on me, i can listenin to it for hours on end - over and over again, know all the words and still have the same enjoyment every time! For two great CD's in this pack, the money is fab! I recommend Power Ballads so much.

i wasnt impressed at all really it was more for the older person .my parents enjoyed it though.Ican imagine it being good to listen to in the car whilst driving but apart from that i wouldnt bother.

I brought this cd a couple of years ago for my dad and mum. Before I gave it to them I thought i would have a listen my self. And wow I thought it was great. Its the kind of cd to put on when no one is at home and you can turn it up to the max and sing along to with a hairbrush. Or even better in a car with the volume you up. If you don't have an overall knowledge of this sort of genre of rock, it is a very good place to start, and if you just want a reminder, Power Ballads is a great value one!! 2 Cd's of some truly great rock tracks, but there are a couple on there that didn't need to be and have been on every other rock compliation ever. The selection of songs is good - ranging from the 1980's through to modern day. The mixing of the album in terms of production quality is very good - and the insert provides good information about the tracks. Disadvantages: Like all compilation CDs, there are weak links.

It is the same with all compilation CDs, there will be songs that you love, that you regret never listening to before. Then of course there are the songs that you really hate, that you wish had never been recorded at all. That is the curse of the compilation CD. If you like big hair, rolled up sleeves on your suits and espadrills you will love this album. This is pure cheese and ideal for sunday mornings while your still in bed. Some classics on here would advise buying it in secret though, people might think youre a bit strange.
