Advantages: Brilliant riffs, melodic solos, powerful vocals. Disadvantages: Perhaps not one song that stands out, but all are good.
Upon first listening to this album I was immediately caught by the riff in the intro, I honestly can't think of a better way to start this kind of album, it sounds strange enough to catch you off guard, but also ordinary enough so as not to scare off the less adventurous.
The albums opening song; "Ties that Bind" is a cleverly constructed heavy rock song. Brilliant riffs, catchy melodies, a memorable lead guitar.
