Bleach has a 3-piece rock band sound - Jason Everman, whom is credited on guitars, does not play a note on the album (but pays the 600 notes to cover the cost of the recording), so when it's guitar solo time for Kurt Cobain (front man), Chris Novoselic (bass) and Chad Channing (drums) carry the rhythm for the majority of the tracks, with Dale Crover as drummer for the remainder. ...one I skip on the Bleach album! 7) Negative Creep - I have always wanted to play this live in a club or maybe a club, just imagine when the guitar fades and the drums loop there being some kind of strobe light on and it would really go with the tune! I always put this song on before I got to any mad places, IE Nottingham's Rock City or Liverpool's Krazy House! Yup, this is it. Nirvana's first album was released back in 1989 and cost just $650 to make. And if you do choose to buy this album, you can see how much of a miracle that was. All of the songs on this album have a raw punk edge to them. If you dont like that sound, you may not like this album. But if you do like this genre, this is a top quality album. If you have just bought 'Nevermind', it would probably be better to leave this album for a while ...
...fish. For a fan of grunge like myself, this album signals a new dawn for the grunge-edge of punk rock. Each track has its own signalling qualities. Blew, the opening track, sets the album on track with its deep lyrics combined kith Kurt's even deeper voice. Floyd the barber (my namesake...) talks of the paranoia that surrounds small towns in the USA, more specifically being raped by a hairdresser.... It may take a whowhile for some of these songs ...

Nirvana first album when they were stil finding their feet. Features soem great ruiffs such as Negative Creep and Love Buzz, but also gave a glimpse of Kurts pop sensibilities on About A Girl. This album is the first release from the great NIRVANA, all the way from 1989. This album starts off with a detuned bass riff, this song is called Blew, and is interesting, but nothing special. The good thing about Nirvana, is that they were nothing special techniqually, but in Cobain, they had an amazing songwriter, and this is proven, even in the earliest album. Songs like About A Girl show this. Kurt wasn't much of a guitarist, performing little ...
...songs, but the solo for School shows that he could shred with the best of them. Musical talent aside, he wrote a really powerful song which features on this album, called Negative Creep. This is about Kurts childhood, where he was repeatedly called "gay" and a "girl" by influential people such as his father. They are my favourite band, I love their music. It's such a pity Kurt Cobain is no longer here, if he was Nirvana would have been more admired than what they are.
