...the film is. Not that Bridget Jones's Diary is a bad film, but the fact is you don't have to have endured the 90 minute laugh-fest to enjoy this truly magnificent and eclectic soundtrack. There is a mix of old records and newer stuff and some up tempo and inevitably for a girlie film a fair few ballads. Its got a great variety of tracks on it from old classics to pieces especially written to go along with the film. Its a very laid back album and I feel its great for chilling out to. Advantages: Classic top tunes which bring the film to life. Plenty of songs to dance to or just lounge around to.
Disadvantages: Geri Halliwell's version of 'It's Raining Men' which is terrible. A downside to an otherwise brilliant album. Where was one of my fave songs from the film 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'?
