...Track, fun nonsense 9 - Brothers in Arms - Most emotional track on the album, which can still bring me to tears now, over thirteen years later. If you ever need a record to explain the futility of war, this is the one. The album is an amazing mix of styles and moods, but produced without a fault all the way through. ...band made several albums before Brothers in Arms producing some classic rock music that deserves more merit than they got. Classic albums like Love Over Gold and Alchemy introduced Dire Straits to a small but tight fan base. With Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits became a little more commercial and propelled themselves into Superstardom (in England). Brothers in Arms is a pretty average album, it only has nine songs, and I only find 3/4 of them appealing, they are: *So far away *Walk of Life *Why worry *Brothers in arms Apart from the fact that Mark Knopler is a brilliant guitarist and released some really outstanding music, I can't really say that this album is much to shout home about.
