Advantages: Ashanti shows off her beautiful voice Disadvantages: Some bad tracks and skits
Chapter II is Ashanti's second album, released back in 2003, and although I have had the album for two years, it is only now I come to review it, my music knowledge isn't very good, therefore my review may not be completely thorough, for this I apologise, I do hope it surfices.
Ashanti Douglas, along with Irv Gotti, JA Rule, Lloyd, Charlie Baltimore, Black Child and Caddillac Tah make up Murder Inc, one of the best known label in Hiphop. Ashanti ... ...been heard in many songs, including 'Always on Time' and 'What's luv'.
The cover is attractive, a seaside scene with Ashanti, the album also sports bright, summer colours. The booklet opens up into a poster of Ashanti in a white swimming costume on the beach, on the opposite side are the lyrics to the songs and all the other information about production.
The copy I bought claimed to be a Special Edition with one bonus track, then again so did the ...

INTRODUCTION
I have loved Ashanti Douglas since she appeared on "Always on Time" and "What's Luv?" with Ja Rule and Fat Joe respectively, and I was a big fan of her first album, imaginatively entitled "Ashanti". So when her second album came out in 2003, I knew I had to buy it. However, it wasn't quite what I thought it was going to be. I was expecting a bit of a progression from her debut, but she seems to have gone backwards rather than forwards.

Advantages: One good single released from the album and one ofther listenable track Disadvantages: Too many skits, weak voice
Few people who follow R&B music will not have heard of Ashanti. This beautiful young lady has worked with some of the biggest names in the business such as Ja Rule on his single “Always on Time”, Big Joe and JLO on the single “I’m Real”. Ashanti started her musical career, at the tender age of 12, and lists Ella Fitzgerald as one of her many musical influences. Now in her early twenties, Ashanti is taking the R&B world by storm. Her debut album “Ashanti” ... ...awards for her musical talent.
Ashanti has recently released her second album entitled “Chapter II”, which can be purchased from most music outlets, or purchased for £8.99 from CD Wow.
“Shany’s World” features a guest appearance by Chink Sanata, who does the voice over at the beginning of the track, and introduces Ashanti, and the beginning of the album. The track has a slow, steady drum beat, and features Ashanti’s murmering vocals over the top.

Advantages: really good rymes and beats, nice songs, more of a r n b album so good for people who like that kind of music Disadvantages: all the intros

This album doesnt seem to change. It is very simerlar to the first album she brought out. The first song she realesed was Rock Wit U. This was a wicked song to bring out and helped the album revice attention the video helped the single go high in the charts. Break Up 2 Make up, Rain On MeAnd Rock Wit U are the best songs on the album. Rock Wit U is a summer song with a good beat and catchy corus. This is the best song on the album. Rain on me is ...

I really did like this album, and all around it thank ashanti is a great singer, but 1 thing puts me off her, I think she thinks to highly of herself, some singers are really down to earth and are on a level with there fans. I think ashanti thinks shes higher than everyone else.
But I do like her music, sometimes im tempted not too buy it because of this reason. I thought there was too many skits to, I think this album could be improved in many ... ...a album, is the lyrics - i find this quite annoying if the album does not have the lyrics to each song including.. what about if you want to sing along to a song you don't know ? How are you meant to do that , with no lyrics, fair enought youd be able to find them ont he net, but its so much less hassle to have the lyrics included :) ... therefore i thank Ashanti for placing lyrics in the her album :)!
