Advantages: Some extremely strong tracks present here, an excellent horn section. Disadvantages: Less Ska based than their older albums.
Reel Big Fish have never been a favourite band of mine, however nonetheless I have always had an appreciation for their music and as such when this album was released back in 2002 I soon bought it and had it in my possession. The thing I have always loved about this band is that no matter what they happen to be singing about, they always sound ridiculously happy and therefore listening to their music is always greatly rewarding, particularly when ...

Advantages: A very well put together SKA album that will have you skanking all night long. It's 70 minutes make it good value for money too. Disadvantages: Maybe a couple of weaker tracks let it down just a little.
...message to the listener to Cheer up, albeit at the very end of the song. Again guitar led with brass really only appearing in the little musical interlude. Tis great though.
5 – ‘Where have you been?’ (4:01)
“Life with him was just so dull but what we had was something wonderful.
After having said that it wasn’t ‘the Fishes’ usual style to exclude brass from there songs this is the third in a row that does just that. Despite my love of ...

4) Cheer Up : A song that will ring through for quite allot of people "I've got a funny feeling, we're all born to lose" is sung a little too much in my opinion. It's a shame they named the album after this song. (6.5)
5) Where Have You Been : I love this song, without a shadow of a doubt the best on the CD!! Some fanastically thought out lyrics with some of the best lines sung slowly with a little guitar chords backing them ...

Reel big fish... another ska band that I love. I haven't been listening to them for very long, but I must admit that even in this short time of knowing they existed, I have grown to love them. Hopefully this album will do the same for you.
Reel big fish have been around for a while now, but it has only been quite recent that they have emerged in the UK, along with other US bands such as Less than Jake and Bowling for Soup.
This is the second album ...

Cheer Up:
Song named after the album, or album named after this song? Hmm, go think about it. Anyway, cool bending and distortion of the electric guitar at the start. This songs about how life was meant to suck and we should all just cheer up because it was meant to be this way. Very cool horns and very cool guitar riffs. Lyrics are fairly good but it still doesn't quite hit home. 7.5/10

I adore this albumn I cant seem to stop playing it. Reel Big Fish are a Ska band the lyrics on this albumn are excellent. I would recommend this albumn to all Ska fans as its easy listening and you just can't help to sing along.
Some of my favourites and a few lyrics:
Good Thing - 'I never felt too good but in this world who would
I was always thinkin' somethin' wasn't right
But then you came along and helped me sing a song and
now I feel ...

I am a huge fan of Reel Big Fish so maybe I am slightly biased, but this is one of the best albums I have ever heard... EVER!
For those of you who haven't heard of Reel Big Fish, they are a ska/punk band from Orange County. Their music is mostly feel good and slightly tongue-in-cheek, ...

I guess ska bands don't want to be ska bands anymore. Reel Big Fish seem slower, but still have the horn section. That doesn't mean they were the band they once were. They sound like they're trying to go for the Huey Lewis/Oingo Boingo thing now. Nevertheless, I still liked this album. I know many RBF, and ska fans will hate this but I still liked it. I don't think this album is as good as their previous albums. I mean, nothing beats "Turn The Radio ...
