...saw the touring production of Chicago and it suddenly started to make sense. I got the CD out, dusted it off and tried again and it was a much more rewarding experience.
This CD and the production from which it comes is a lot different to the recent Chicago movie. The songs are the same (aside from the additions), but the style of it is much darker and more sinister and this is reflected in the music on this CD. I don't know why this should be, ...

Advantages: Fantastic remake of the original show Disadvantages: Miss Sunshine (bleugh)

Thus begins the recording of the 1998 London Cast & stars Ute Lemper & Ruthie Henshall. It is a quality remake of the original show, with a more funked up jazz feel and a hotter edge. Many of these show stopping tunes are instantly recognisable, with tunes such as All that Jazz, Mr Cellophane and Razzle Dazzle.
