The Clash released alot of material in the approx 10 years they were together (without Topper Headon and Mick Jones, they could only go one way, as the "magic" had gone...) and these 3 CDs does an excellent job of representing their wide musical diversity, as they embraced various styles remarkably well! This album was almost £50 when I first saw it so I thought it was going to be brilliant.I presumed it would be a live album because of the title. I finally got the CDs seperatly at second hand shops for about £15 and I was a little dissappointed. The first 2 songs were good, two early demo's of janie jones and Carreer Opportunities full of the rawness and energy of punk. The rest of the tracks on disc 1 come straight from the first album which is ...
...end CD1 there are some more live songs I fought the law and english civil war. CD2 is just as unspectacular with a few songs from give em enought rope and one rare track called One Emotion. CD3 just covers sandinista onwards but does have a good cover with mick jones singing of Every Little Bit Hurts and a dodgy live version of every bit hurts.
