Kanye West’s debut album; College Dropout is excellent. Although West showed off his quality by producing hit songs for the likes of Jay-Z this album demonstrated his ability not only to produce great tune after tune but also to rap with the best of them. Finally a hip hop album that has sold in big numbers without relying on "blingy" lyrics, takes me back to the days of ATCQ and PE :) Anyone with an interest in hip hop would have recognised Kanye's name as a producer for Ludacris, Jay-Z et al, tbh with those credentials i wasn't expecting much for his debut release. The first track displays this amazingly well displaying the true grit of drug culture set to an infectious pop beat. The lyrics don't deviate from any of Kanye's harsh realities whilst the beats are some of the freshest and most inventive around at the moment. Kanye West is new comer to Roc-A-Fella Records and this is his debut with to more albums coming in 2005. In this album he features artists such as Jay-Z,Twista, Jamie Foxxx, His childhood friend Seleena Johnson. The Single on this album in no order are "Workout Plan" which he does healthy exercisements to be a better mother and relation ships. "all falls down" in which he raps with Seleena who does the chorus. "Jesus Walks" a great songs showing ...
...And the newest single "Through The Wire" is about how gratefull in life he is after surviving a car crash on his way to the grammies other people inside the car including Twista and Mase. The only serious injurys is how Kanye got three wires inside his jaw. He still carrys on and will.
