Advantages: A Classic Album Disadvantages: She can make you feel inadequate girls...
Just what is it about Shania Twain? Ok, so she’s beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful. She has a classic face – oh, and a figure to make any woman reach for the Slim Fast. Watching her display her flat, brown belly in faded blue jeans is enough to make us mere mortals weep. Even though she has just presented her hubby (Record Producer Mutt Lange) with a baby, you can bet she will be back in those blue jeans before Twain junior is sleeping ... ...times in her life. Her parents were killed in a car crash when she was 21 and Shania raised her three younger siblings. Even so, I’ll bet her PR people were thrilled with such an emotive story….
Best of all, this gal can really sing. She has tipped Country Music on its’ head and not everyone has been thrilled. The high-ups at Nashville like their women wigged and fringed and Shania’s penchant for baring her belly (remember, ...

Shania Twain's award winning album Come On Over is a classic with every track a hit (or worthy of being a hit) and is worth buying (only £9.99 at Sainsbury's) for the feel-good value of the album.
Although Shania is a country and western singer, a lot of her songs are mainstream so don't be concerned about ruining your street cred by listening to her! Shania appeals to the young, the old, men, women and all nationalities. Come On Over is her 3rd ... ...of the 16 tracks on Come On Over is That Don't Impress Me Much, a cheerful, easy to sing along to song that most of the country know that words to now (don't know what Brad Pitt makes of it though!). Other hits to dance to are I Feel Like A Woman and Don't be Stupid. Less well-known tracks that are really feel-good tunes are Rock This Country and Love Gets Me Every Time. They are tunes that really get your feet moving and like all Shania's songs ...

Come On Over (02:54)
A really upbeat ‘funky’ tune that has me smiling and singing along so the neighbourhood is afflicted by my voice!!!! Lol. It’s a song you play to your mates or lovers; it’s appropriate to say to anyone you’re close to! One of my personal favourites!

Whatever You Do! Don't (03:48)
She’s begging a guy not to turn her on, I think! It reminds me…no, private, never mind! I do have memories and feelings connected to this song but I can’t share them with Ciaoers just yet!

Before I decided to buy this album that was recommended to me by a friend, I absolutely hated any type of country and western music. But I have been turned around by this album and this amazing singer. Not only has she got an amazing voice, but she is lucky to be so attractive too! The album will last you ages and never seems to become boring! It is quite old now for modern day music, but this is worth buying still. But why is Shania Twain in the ...

Advantages: Smooth delivery of songs with rythmn Disadvantages: Too few albums
I guess Shania Twain must be one of the most enduring artiste these days. With her stunning looks and smooth voice, no wonder she is one of the most popular singer around the globe. After listening to several songs on her "Come on over" CD, I very much loved to hear the pieces over and over again, esp. the "You're the Only", "That Don't Impress Me Much" and "Man I Feel Like A Woman" songs. However, the no. of albums she recorded is on the low side. ...

Advantages: Overall First Class!! Disadvantages: None
Before I bought Shania's album, Come On Over, I didn't country music whatsoever. I'm still not a fan of all country music, but she got me a lot more open minded about it. The entire album is full of fantastically sung, either foot tappin' upbeat songs, or slow, emotion filled slower tracks. All songs are easy to sing (or warble in my case!) along to, and are brilliantly written, sung and produced. Since buying that first album I have gone on to buy ...

COME ON OVER
This song is pretty much a pop song, though it is still good. It has a very catchy chorus and like most of her songs the lyrics are really good.
ROCK THIS COUNTRY!
My favourite kind of music is rock so this one was definately going to be one of my favourites. It mostly has a guitar my favourite and violins. Well I hope this op is useful and if you haven't heard the album then you really should it is a great album. ...

This is an entirely brilliant album. It's good to see someone making something positive out of country music! And I would kill to look like her. She has been blessed with every talent needed by a singer today It's great how she can turn what I thought was an album filler ("Don't Be Stupid") into a top tune. The best song on the album....well it has to be a cat fight between "That Don't Impress Me Much" (which was one of my favourite songs of 1999) ... ...uptempo numbers on the album. However, Shania can also 'do the ballad thing' admirably, with "You're Still The One", "From This Moment On" and "You've Got A Way" also counting among the top tracks on this album. Also notable is the brilliant "Honey, I'm Home", which conveys the feelings of the average woman ( even though Shania is no average woman!) brilliantly. This album is a must have! ...

I must say I don't really fancy country that much, I mean I didn't even know country before last summer. I spent last summer a week in a cruise ship where I got a change to get some line dancing hours. I met this nice girl there, we're now friends and she thought Shania's the best so as I came home I bought this album and well fell in love with it instantly. Songs are so great and slow ballads are my favourite ones. She's great, she has a great voice, ...

...and the rest is history.
Come On Over was written by Twain and Lange. The opening song 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' has become and anthem for women and transexuals everywhere. It is the perfect opening song for the album and shows the mood in which the album goes.
From This Moment On is the classic love song of the album, written about Shania's parents. The emotion in Shania voice is outstanding in this song. Many critics call Shania emotionless and ... ...'You've Got A Way' and who could forget, the infamous 'You're Still The One' shows how emotional and caring Shania really is.
'You're Still The One' was written about Twain and Langes relationship. Many people critised the couple and said they would never make it, but the couple have been married for nearly ten years and have just had a child together.
Shania didn't hold out on the sassy, upbeat, traditional Shania songs we all expect. ' That Dont ...

Whether you're are a die hard country fan, a rocker or just liked the singles doesn't make any difference you will be disappointed by this album which in trying to cover so many styles seems to have failed to do any of them justice.
The final track "Rock this Country" probably best highlights what the intention was by linking proper rock to a hard country swing however in most cases the preferred styles are boring AOR and limp rhinestone country ...
