As it says complete, and it as near as dam it is. The band that started the i alternative seen as we no it influencing most of the bands that are about today, notably oasis. Okay so Ian Browns voice isn't that great but it adds to the album more than detrct from it it gives it more of a vibe. There is a lot of soul in this record on John Squires guitar work is excellent. Right, this is my first go at this... so i wish myself well.... I was born in 1986 so I was unable appreciate the wonders of this inspirational band when they were still making music. ...a "best of", it's a complete picture of the Roses' early career, and there are some forgettable moments - "The Hardest Thing In The World" is Roses-by-numbers, and some of the alternative versions of songs from their debut album will come as a shock to devotees of that amazing record - I am the Resurrection and Waterfall both suffer badly. The Stone Roses were the band at the start of the 1990s. Not that I knew it then, I was introduced to them far later (like a lot of people) and the fact they have so many fans even now is a testament to their greatness. The Complete Stone Roses is a compilation album of some of the greatest moments in the Stone Roses career. It includes brilliant songs such as Fools Gold and Elephant Stone and also great b-sides such as Standing Here and Where Angels Play. The fact that many of these songs are b-sides gives a pointer to how good the roses actually were. Official - The Stone Roses are the best band ever. If you want proof all you need to do is listen to this 21 song collection of all their singles (A+B sides) released by Silvertone records. The songs are arranged chronicalogically in order they were produced, although "Waterfall" and "I am the Resurrection" were only released as cash ins by Silvertone after the band left the label. This album brings together a compilation of the best Stone Roses tunes. I think this is my favourite of all the stone roses albums, consisting of some of the most memorable of the band's songs.
