I am the Resurrection Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by
andycharger
Advantages: The Best Album Ever Disadvantages: A couple of weak links
Now once in a lifetime, there comes a band that means much more to you than just music.
From that band will come an album that beans much more to you than a collection of songs on a CD.
Both of these cases were true when I was a young 15 year old in my final year in school.
You will remember the time...
you are coming to the final stages of your secondary education. No more teachers to worry about. Only "lecturers" during your A levels and Uni ...

One Love Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by
Hursty
Advantages: Some of the best tracks, ever! Disadvantages: Short version of I Am The Resurrection
This is one of the best compilation albums anyone could wish to buy. 21 tracks of pure musical heaven. The original Manc Monkey Ian Brown, John Squire, Reni and Mani, are one of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion, and it's a shame that they finished in the way that they did, especially with Squire falling out with Brown.
The first 2 tracks, So Young and Tell Me, are the Roses early stuff. Not their best, but by no means bad songs. Sally ...

This Is The One Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by

Advantages: The Greatest Compilation Album in the World... Ever! Disadvantages: Some tracks have been cut in length so that they fit on the album
The Stone Roses are, for some, second only to the Beatles in terms of greatness. Although Ian Brown is, admittedly, no John Lennon, consider that all the songs on this album are taken from the Roses' first album, and from the singles which were released at around the same time. Compare this to the Beatles' first album and singles, and I think you'll find that the forementioned statement is very possibly true.
Indeed, if the Stone Roses had not ...

Top, Mad for it Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by
Lazy_shadow
Advantages: Great Songs Disadvantages: A few glaring ommisions, some songs edited
As it says complete, and it as near as dam it is. The band that started the i alternative seen as we no it influencing most of the bands that are about today, notably oasis. Okay so Ian Browns voice isn't that great but it adds to the album more than detrct from it it gives it more of a vibe. There is a lot of soul in this record on John Squires guitar work is excellent. Mani is one of the best bassists around and he has to be as they are a very bass ...

Right, this is my first go at this... so i wish myself well....
I was born in 1986 so I was unable appreciate the wonders of this inspirational band when they were still making music. It was one of my mates who told me about them and excited by my interest he brought the CD to my house. He stood there with wide eyes in eager anticipation of what I thought. I laughed.
I’d never heard anything like this; “IIIN A MISERY DICTIONARRREEEEEEY, PAYGE ...

inspiralcarpet
Advantages: a full overview of the band's career pre-Second Coming Disadvantages: the occasional bad track, but hey! There's 21 of them...
...a "best of", it's a complete picture of the Roses' early career, and there are some forgettable moments - "The Hardest Thing In The World" is Roses-by-numbers, and some of the alternative versions of songs from their debut album will come as a shock to devotees of that amazing record - I am the Resurrection and Waterfall both suffer badly.
So, there are flaws. But they are more than made up for by some of the rarities included here too. "Sally ...

Advantages: A classic album that will last for ever Disadvantages: none that i can think of
...greatest hits Album '' The Complete Stone Roses ''. This album is one that I think every fan of any British rock band should own, Firstly because it's the foot stone for so many of our other bands without The Stone Roses I doubt we would have had the likes of Oasis or the Happy Monday's, Secondly this whole album is a master piece every track is crafted perfectly every guitar solo is epic.
There are a range of different styles of rock'n'roll, it ...

Advantages: A great album, 21 great tunes from the Stone Roses Disadvantages: Silvertone Records cashing in on their finest signing
The Stone Roses were the band at the start of the 1990s. Not that I knew it then, I was introduced to them far later (like a lot of people) and the fact they have so many fans even now is a testament to their greatness.
This compilation was released by their first record company, Silvertone, upon the band leaving and going to Geffen. It is a blatant attempt to cash in and the only time you see a picture of Ian Brown and the rest of the band is ...

Bez? Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by
SpikeIsland
Advantages: Disadvantages:
The Complete Stone Roses is a compilation album of some of the greatest moments in the Stone Roses career. It includes brilliant songs such as Fools Gold and Elephant Stone and also great b-sides such as Standing Here and Where Angels Play. The fact that many of these songs are b-sides gives a pointer to how good the roses actually were. All the songs jump out at first and after repeated listen the deep, old testament infused lyrics starts to bury ...

Advantages: 19 classic songs Disadvantages: 1st 2 tracks are for completists only
Official - The Stone Roses are the best band ever.
If you want proof all you need to do is listen to this 21 song collection of all their singles (A+B sides) released by Silvertone records.
The songs are arranged chronicalogically in order they were produced, although "Waterfall" and "I am the Resurrection" were only released as cash ins by Silvertone after the band left the label.
The order of the singles shows that initially with "So Young" they ...

Manchester's finest Review ofComplete Stone Roses, The - Stone Roses (The)by
Lucifus
Advantages: A brilliant listen Disadvantages: absolutely none
This album brings together a compilation of the best Stone Roses tunes. I think this is my favourite of all the stone roses albums, consisting of some of the most memorable of the band's songs. Starting off the album in fine style with songs such as Sally Cinnamon and All across the sands, the album just gets better and better. This album truely brings out the nostalgic side of you, forcing you to remember the true excellence of the Roses with the ...
