Advantages: All of bon jovi's great hits in one. Disadvantages: can't think of any, been thinking a little while too!!
...first saw the bon jovi cross road cd i was about 7 years old and thought it was just any other cd lying around my brothers bedroom. I never listened to it until I was about 13 or 14. However, once I realised what it was I was listening to I played it countless times since! It has their smash hit number 1 ''Livin' on a Prayer'' which almost anyone on the street would recognise if you were to play it on a duke box in any pub across the country. It ... ...Alive''. This has one of the most famous introductions and is one of my personal favourite riffs of all time. Its easy to play yes, but it sounds great! It almost sounds like two cowboys in the west are going out back to back to have a duel to decide over something quite serious. Here is a brief description of each song on the album.
1. ''Livin' on a Prayer'' I don't really need to say much about this as its records and figures tell the story. It ...

Advantages: Loads of hits, great lyrics Disadvantages: Only covers 1984-1994!
Bon Jovi are a five piece rock band hailing from New Jersey. Their original line up consisted of Jon Bongiovi (Vocals and Guitar), Richie Sambora (Lead Guitar), Tico Torres (Drums), David Bryan (Keyboards) and Alec John Such (Bass). Such left the band in 1994 and was replaced by Hugh Macdonald. Often hailed as one of the greatest rock bands of the 1980's (and not just by me before you ask!), Bon Jovi have something for everyone. Advantages: Ideal for new listners Disadvantages: More established fans will want something more.
Almost the perfect introduction to Bon Jovi. One of the all time populist bands Bon Jovi have withstood many a musical trend and this disc sums up the first ten years of their career decently. Greatest hits on the whole are not for die hard fans but for casual listners and new comers to an artists music. If you are a die hard Bon Jovi fan then you could probably compile your own hits package of your personal, maybe more obscure offerings; as a new ... ...and ballads that will breed familiarity on first listen.
The songs really speak for themselves, most being hits from their various multi platinum albums. Livin' on a Prayer, You gave Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive, Never Say Goodbye, Lay your Hands on Me, Bad Medicine, and I'll be There for You showcase the days when Bon Jovi dominated the rock n pop scene. While others like Bed of Roses, In These Arms, and Always sit perfectly as hits in ...

Advantages: Songs you know and love, has a bit of everything, well priced Disadvantages: some songs may not be to everybodys liking
I have to say, I absolutely love this album. It is a collection of all their biggest selling hits and it does not disappoint. Released in the United States in 1994, it soon put Bon Jovi on the map as a force to be reckoned with.
The hit Blaze of Glory came from the soundtrack to the film Young Guns 2, in which Jon performed the soundtrack for. He also made a cameo appearance in the film itself.
Livin' on a Prayer is absolutely enormous among people ... ...a night out in my local area you can guarantee this song will be played in each club and pub you visit.
What is even better is that the album has not only the get up and go songs on there, it has the slow, Bon Jovi style woo you songs, especially with the song Always.
Whether it is to keep you going or get you through a broken relationship, this album definately has it all. ...

Advantages: ALL THE BEST SONGS ARE ON THIS CD Disadvantages: None for me
Crossroads is my favourite Bon Jovi album, I once owned it on vinyl but now its on CD and my MP3 player, how times have changed. This album has the cream of the crop song titles on it and is great in the car when stuck in the early morning traffic jam and what do we sing when stuck in the traffic? "keep the faith"... You cant beat the electric guitar and superb voice of Jon for listening and rocking to in the car.. nice and loud to drown out the ... ...lots of cars these days. If you have not listened to Bon Jovi you dont know what your'e missing, get into ROCK and give it a listen...

Advantages: Great Variety - Bon Jovi's Best Disadvantages: none
...get tickets ... About Cross Roads - Stunning Album , Song Writing has a lot of feel .. especially 'Always' and 'Bed of Roses'. Richie Sambora literally makes the guitar cry in his solos in 'Always' ... highly under rated guitarist i must say .. Superb guitar solos on most songs .. Great keyboarding with a very catchy riff on Runaway .. very good harmonic vocals...which make the songs sound very rich.
good lyrics on all songs and there can't be one ... ...a little more in depth, (skip this bit if you're happy just getting a summary of the album) the album starts of with easily one of the best openers, be it live or be it for an album - 'Living on a Prayer'... Simple chord progression for the chorus but sounds really good....followed by 'keep the faith' where u notice a pretty contrasting drumming style as compared to the basic 4/4 rock beat in the previous song .. Then it's the more acosutic sounding ...

Advantages: All his hits on one CD Disadvantages: Bit slow at the end
A great first half of an album, mixed with all his greatest songs at the beggining, then his less rated songs at the end. I would get this album just to be able to turn it up, put the window down and yell along to the words as loud as you can (its great fun) and make everyone in the car join in with you. Unfortunately after the fist load of songs you will have to wind the window up while skip a load of second class songs untill you get back to songs ... ...must have, but you must be willing to wear out your skip button.
YOU MUST SHOUT ALONG TO THIS ALBUM
Songs to look out for:
Livin' on a prayer
Keep the faith
Someday i'll be saturday night
Always
Wanted dead or alive
You give love a bad name
Bed of roses
Blaze of glory ...

Advantages: goog music perfect artist and one of the best albums ever Disadvantages: There are plenty of candidates to be included on this disc that were left at the cutting room floor
This is a great CD. With amazing songs from start to finish, including the hit "Livin' On A Prayer," Bon Jovi has shown once again that they aren't just one-hit wonders.
"Always and "Bed Of Roses " are two songs for love, which can make you thinking about good things. It can change your mind.
