Literally the best soundtrack that is on earth at this moment, i love it! All of the songs fit the film so well and there isnt a track on the album you'll want to skip, with its fusion of brit rock, dance and beautiful ballads. ...the back-stabbing, treachery and jealousy, Cruel Intentions is actually a pretty sensual movie. And that's what the soundtrack is like - sensual, cool, contemporary. Aside from the over-played "Praise You"by Fatboy Slim and "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve (which are great pieces of music, mind you!), the other tracks aren't the sort to command radio time due to their lack of mass appeal...and that's why I love them! Not a greatly heralded soundtrack but a top quality one nevertheless. Once you see Ryan Phillippe cruising in a sportscar to Placebo’s “Every Me, Every You” the soundtrack is appealing, and it is full of good songs. While the songs were cleverly placed in the film the soundtrack gives you the chance to enjoy the tracks by themselves, which most of the songs are deserving of. I bought this album after watching the film (which I loved). The songs were so perfect for the scenes which they appeared in and they are great songs. There are some artists that I have never heard of before as well as artists who had already had success with their songs that featured on the soundtrack such as The Verve, Placebo, Blur and Fatboy Slim. ...originally bought the soundtrack to cruel intentions because it's one of my favourite films and i liked the music. I bought it for an amazing £4.99!!! from a HMV sale (i was very impressed hehe) and started listening to it when i got home. To begin with i only listened to the tracks that i knew (because i like to sing along lol) but over time i grew to love the whole CD. This is one of the best soundtracks ive heard coming from a good film. The cd contains some great tracks by some very good artists such as placebo and the verve as well as other great tracks by people less well known. It contains a variety of different types of music and just about anybody will find a song they like! Overall this albumn is definately worth buying even if you havn't seen the film (which you should!)and will still be worth listening ... Read review

when i first saw the film at the movies i couldn't believe that it could be a movie remembered not for the performances or the story but for it's music. Placebo, Fatboy slim, Blur, Counting crows, Faithless, Verve and so many other great artists can be found in this cd. If nothing else, buy this soundtrack only to remember the scene at the funeral where you could hear the bitter sweet symphony by the verve. There can always be people who say that ... Read review
