Advantages: Akon shows he's one of the greatest talents around Disadvantages: 50 doesn't really showcase his talents in anyway
...beautiful either. 15. CURTIS 187 (3.58) - "Push me n*gger, see what I'm about."
Rating (/5) - TWO STARS
A song title matches the title of the album, we get to hear 50 rapping about himself. Boring.
16. TOUCH THE SKY (3.10) - "Hands up high." Rating (/5) - THREE STARS
There was such a huge deal made about Tony Yayo a few years back, so when he disappointed it kind of dented 50's reputation a bit. Luckily for us, Yayo returns to feature on this ... ...on the album. It's even better how the song is titled after one of Kanye West's biggest hits (the one with Pamela Anderson in the video). A good note to leave the album on.
Overall it is no surprise that people would rather pick up Kanye West's material than this, because whilst there are some new aspects to 50's character, there isn't really anything that screams out as being a bigger hit than most of the stuff Kanye has produced. I think it was ...

Advantages: good beats and production, good appearences Disadvantages: Frequently weak lyrics, many missable tracks
There are two ways to look at 50 cent's recent music, good music which appeals to the masses, or cheap, bubblegum hip hop. Before the brilliant 'Get rich or die trying', 50 cent was the great hope for not only new york city hip hop, but hip hop across the united states. We were promised no more bubblegum rap and his debut album did not disappoint. 2 Years later, it seems that mr.jackson has gone back on his word with the release of 'the massacre' ... ...lil bit, so amazing, build you up and outta control. Although he had several massive hits and undoubtedly produced an album which would not only satisfy rap fans but fans of other genres. Then we skip forward a further 2 years to see mr. 'no more bubblegum rap' cent back with his 3rd album 'Curtis'. 50 Cent promised it would sound like his pre get rich or die tryin days , this doesnt live up to that statement as we are treated with mere pop songs ...

Advantages: Great beats and hooks Disadvantages: Lyrics aren't as good as previous albums
Curtis is an album by 50 Cent that features producing and fellow vocals from awesome acts like Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Akon, Robin Thicke and the members of G-Unit along with many more. There are some very good tracks, "Ayo Technology", "I Get Money", "I'll Still Kill" are the main ones. In my opinion this album is no where near as good as 50 Cent's first album (Get Rich or Die Tryin'), however is not far off from being as good as The Massacre, ... ...hook.
Track 16 - Curtis 187 - Excellent yet underrated tune.
Track 17 - Touch the Sky ft. Tony Yayo - Really good lyrics and beat, very good rapping also.
Track 18 Bonus Track - Hustler's Ambition - Excellent track however was on Get Rich Or Die Tryin' Soundtrack.
If you get the album off iTunes then you get and extra two tracks - Smile (I'm Leavin') and I Get Money (Forbes 1-2-3 Remix). ...

Quick review of Curtis - 50 Cent
Great beats, however possibly a little bit too "electronic" well, for my taste anyway. Great lyrics and loops, all-star cast. ...
